Have you been struggling with heel pain, tennis elbow, Achilles pain or shoulder pain for months?

Many tendon injuries become stubborn and slow to heal, even after rest, stretching and exercises.

At Willaston Physio & Sports Rehab, we offer Shockwave Therapy – a highly effective treatment designed to stimulate healing in long-standing injuries.

By increasing blood flow and helping break down scar tissue, shockwave therapy can help your body repair and recover faster.

If pain is stopping you doing the things you enjoy, this treatment could help.

πŸ“… A good plan includes rest

Whether it’s Couch to 5K or another beginner plan, structure matters. Make sure your plan includes:
βœ”οΈ 1–2 rest days per week
βœ”οΈ Gradual progression
βœ”οΈ Cross-training
βœ”οΈ Easy and hard days

And remember your body gets stronger during recovery, not just during runs.

🌳 Mix up your running surfaces

Running on the same hard surface repeatedly can overload your joints. Try:
βœ”οΈ Grass or trails for softer impact
βœ”οΈ Limiting long runs on concrete
βœ”οΈ Alternating road sides when safe and possible

Variety reduces repetitive strain and challenges your body in a good way.
