STRESS RELIEF TECHNIQUE

We only recommend natural aids for stress relief at The Hypno CBT Clinic. So when we came across this video, we couldn’t resist sharing it with you.

FALL ASLEEP IN 60 SECONDS

Try the “4-7-8” breathing technique, developed by Dr. Andrew Weil.

This is one of the techniques I teach my clients how to counteract stress, calm mind chatter and sleep more effectively.

The technique is easy to learn and use. You simply breathe in through the nose for four seconds, hold the breath for seven seconds, exhale for eight seconds, and then repeat three more times. This exercise will slow down the heart rate and prepare the body for relaxation.

The “4-7-8” breathing practice is also useful for removing stress during the day. If the pressure of life or work is becoming a bit too much to bear, this short easy trick could be just the thing.

Do you hold stress and tension in your body? Try this simple stress release technique wherever you are today.

OK
Count to 3 as you take a slow breath in.
Hold for the count of 4.
Release slowly as you count to 5.
Soften your forehead.
Unclench you jaw.
Relax your shoulders.
REPEAT AS OFTEN AS YOU LIKE.
