Dots and Lines
If you are so depressed and you feel you can’t do anything. No creativity whatsoever. This method helped me create something when everything felt impossible.
Start with dots. Small random patterns of dots on paper. Dots in a line, circles, squares, triangles. Use different thickness of pens to add contrast. Then start with lines. Outline the patterns of dots. Straight lines, curves, waves, simple shapes etc
The point isn’t to know what you want to draw beforehand as you probably aren’t in a position to do that anyway.
Just see what happens. And whatever happens you should be proud of yourself because you created something that didn’t exist. You did something that felt impossible and what you made is beautiful because of that.
