Our government have announced a second lockdown from Thursday 5th November. Here his guidance given in regards to cleaners and our clients.
Cleaners can continue working in other people’s homes providing there are COVID-19 safety measures in place.
Here is a breakdown to help our clients prepare for the cleaners to carry out their role while remaining safe.
• No work will be carried out in a house that is isolating – Please inform us before we enter the home if this is the case.
• Comply with social distancing rules and keep 2 meters distance at any point in the home
• We recommend family members stay in another room while work is being carried out
• If anyone in the home has any COVID-19 symptoms please inform us before we arrive so we can postpone the clean.
• Open doors and windows around the home to provide ventilation
• Follow track and trace guidelines in the event someone in the home is tested positive for COVID-19
• We ask for you to provide your own vacuum cleaner and mops to reduce any cross contamination
What our Cleaners will be doing –
• No one who tests positive or has symptoms of COVID-19 will carry out any work until they receive a negative test,
• We will comply with social distancing and keep 2 meters away from anyone in the home at any time.
• Cleaners will ensure they wash their hands more often and for at least 20 seconds as well as using hand sanitiser.
• High traffic areas in the home will have a more focused clean
• As always cloths are separate for each home and separated from previous used cloths. All washed at 60c or higher where possible
• Method antibacterial cleaner and other antibacterial eco-friendly cleaning products will be used to ensure kitchens, bathrooms, busy surfaces in the home are thoroughly cleaned.
• Hot water (instead of cold or warm) will be used when cleaning surfaces
• Appropriate PPE will be changed and used for each home
• We will work in partnered teams, keeping to our pairs reducing the amount of time in each home as much as possible
• Creating COVID-19 safety plans and communicating about our visits with the most vulnerable ensuring we keep themselves and our cleaners as safe as possible.
If you have any questions or want to pause your schedule clean please don’t hesitate to call or message us.
