Baking is a treat!

Baking fairy cakes and decorating them was such a lovely way to spend the day.

Elizabeth led the way by reading the recipe and making sure every single ingredient was weighed to perfection. We then had the the task of mixing everything together.

Later in the afternoon, we got creative with chocolate and colourful decorations. They were the perfect treat to enjoy with our afternoon tea.

Residents came together to get creative, design beautiful floral displays, and enjoy a relaxing, social atmosphere. It was wonderful to see so many unique arrangements and smiling faces throughout the session.

We headed out to Charlie’s Local Pub this afternoon, enjoyed a few nice cold beverages, and spent time in great conversation, reminiscing and sharing stories. Plenty of laughs and the perfect way to spend Dementia Friday.

We were delighted to welcome Bromley Metropolitan Police to Park Avenue Care Home today ☕🍰

We enjoyed a lovely morning filled with tea, cakes, biscuits, and plenty of great conversation. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the important roles within the police force, while residents also shared stories about their own past careers and experiences.

Moments like these bring our community together and create meaningful connections across generations 💙 Thank you to the officers for spending time with us and making the day so special!

Today our Songs & Smiles Baby Group had a lovely visit to Park Avenue Care Home 💛

We spent the morning singing favourite nursery rhymes, sharing smiles, and enjoying some gentle sensory play. The little ones loved exploring bubbles and colourful scarves, while the residents joined in with songs, laughter, and plenty of heartwarming moments.

It was a beautiful time bringing generations together — creating joy, connection, and special memories for everyone involved ✨

We’re becoming quite the pro bakers here at Park Avenue. After yesterday's successful two-ingredient bread, we decided to tackle cupcakes today.

We had a wonderful time baking them this morning with a helping hand from Liz’s daughter, and spent the afternoon decorating them with chocolate and colourful sprinkles.

They were enjoyed in the afternoon with a cup of tea.

The idea was to keep the balloons up in the air for as long as possible.

As you can see, Kingsley (in blue) had his hands full! 😊 We couldn’t stop laughing.
