We were delighted to recently deliver a community talk at Pittsmead Grange Care Home (Barchester Healthcare), where we shared our knowledge on Communicating Positively with a loved one with dementia

It was a truly engaging and meaningful session, with attendees contributing their own experiences, insights, and perspectives. Conversations like these are so important in building understanding and confidence when supporting loved ones.

The evening was made even more enjoyable with cheese and wine, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere for everyone to connect. It was lovely to see the community come together, supporting one another and learning side by side.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, we look forward to more opportunities to share, learn, and support our community 🧡

🧡 Just 10 Minutes Can Make a Difference

At Walfinch Home Care, we encourage at least 10 minutes of gentle movement during each visit. These small moments of activity can have a big impact on wellbeing.

A short walk around the home, some light stretching, or simple standing exercises can help maintain strength, improve balance, and support independence.

Movement also boosts mood, encourages confidence, and brings a positive focus to each visit. It’s not about intense exercise, it’s about keeping the body active in a safe and enjoyable way.

If you’d like to learn more about how our care services support active, independent living, get in touch with us today!

Walfinch was invited to speak at this evening’s webinar “You Are Not On Your Own.”

The event brought together an expert panel of professionals dedicated to supporting people across our local community, and we were proud to contribute with a presentation on “How Home Care Supports People Living with Dementia.”

Living with dementia can feel overwhelming, but the right support, guidance and compassionate care can make a real difference, helping people remain safe, comfortable and independent in their own homes.

A big thank you to the organisers The Rainbow Care Group - Bromley for creating such an important space for information, reassurance and connection.

If you or a loved one are looking for home care services, our friendly team at Walfinch would be very happy to have a chat and talk through how we can help.

What a fantastic way to start the day! This morning we welcomed our wonderful community partners for a high-energy breakfast networking event.

As a homecare provider, we know that delivering truly high-quality care at home takes more than just one team. It takes strong relationships, shared values, and a community that works together to support people to live safely and independently in their own homes.

Over coffee and croissants, we shared ideas, strengthened partnerships. We can continue raising the standard of care across our community. Because exceptional home care is built on collaboration, trust and compassion.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us. If you couldn’t make it this time, you were missed, but don’t worry, the next one is already on our minds. And trust us, you’ll want a seat at the table. 💛

Thank you to
