Walfinch was invited to speak at this evening’s webinar “You Are Not On Your Own.”

The event brought together an expert panel of professionals dedicated to supporting people across our local community, and we were proud to contribute with a presentation on “How Home Care Supports People Living with Dementia.”

Living with dementia can feel overwhelming, but the right support, guidance and compassionate care can make a real difference, helping people remain safe, comfortable and independent in their own homes.

A big thank you to the organisers The Rainbow Care Group - Bromley for creating such an important space for information, reassurance and connection.

If you or a loved one are looking for home care services, our friendly team at Walfinch would be very happy to have a chat and talk through how we can help.

What a fantastic way to start the day! This morning we welcomed our wonderful community partners for a high-energy breakfast networking event.

As a homecare provider, we know that delivering truly high-quality care at home takes more than just one team. It takes strong relationships, shared values, and a community that works together to support people to live safely and independently in their own homes.

Over coffee and croissants, we shared ideas, strengthened partnerships. We can continue raising the standard of care across our community. Because exceptional home care is built on collaboration, trust and compassion.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us. If you couldn’t make it this time, you were missed, but don’t worry, the next one is already on our minds. And trust us, you’ll want a seat at the table. 💛

Thank you to

We had a truly uplifting afternoon at Thrive Club! Supported by Walfinch Home Care and Home Links Physiotherapy, our members enjoyed physio-led exercises designed to promote mobility and wellness, followed by a well-deserved social hour with tea and Victoria sponge.

Thrive Club is built on the belief that aging well requires both physical activity and social connection. It’s a space where stories are shared, friendships flourish, and laughter is always on the menu.

We were also thrilled to welcome the Admiral Nurse Bromley team and Pittsmead Grange Care Home; their involvement highlights the incredible community spirit driving our mission.

If you haven’t visited us yet, we invite you to Thrive Club 🧡

At the heart of high-quality homecare is a simple but vital question: "Would I feel comfortable having this person look after my own parents?"

In this video, our Operations Manager, Aangelee, discusses our approach to recruitment and why passion is the most important qualification a carer can have. At Walfinch Home Care, it isn't just about filling a role; it is about finding dedicated individuals who treat every client with the same dignity, respect, and warmth they would show their own family.

Watch to hear more from Aangelee about our commitment to excellence across the areas we serve.

This week, we came together as a team, away from rotas and responsibilities, and it was a reminder of just how special this group of people is.

We are more than colleagues, we are a team that looks out for one another, supports each other, and works together every single day to deliver high quality, compassionate care. We do the right thing, even when it’s hard, and we never lose sight of why we do what we do.

I am incredibly proud of this team and deeply grateful to be on this journey with such dedicated, caring, and values-driven people. Thank you for everything you do and for the high standards you uphold every day.

It was a pleasure hosting the Specsavers Home Visiting team at our Bromley office today to explore how our two services can best support the local community.

As a homecare agency, we are committed to providing a holistic experience for our clients. It was fantastic to brainstorm and discover the natural synergies between our respective services. By coordinating with specialist visiting teams like Specsavers, we can ensure our clients are aware of the essential healthcare, such as eye tests and hearing care, available to them right in their own homes.

Meaningful dialogue between local providers is key to providing added value to those we care for, and we look forward to the positive impact of this connection.

We were honoured to be invited to the launch event of Kind Connections KYN

Kind Connections is an inititive started by the residents at KYN Bickley to encourage people to make connections, share good company and meaningful experiences.

The event was opened by the Deputy Mayor of Bromley, Gemma Turrell. Guests were treated to a delicious afternoon tea, followed by Letters Live, a staged reading of six letters brought to life by the team from Quest Soul Theatre.

Walfinch Home Care look forward to seeing this fantastic inititive thrive. A huge congratulations to residents of KYN for creating such a delightful and memorable event.

Research consistently shows that regular physical activity combined with social interaction plays a key role in maintaining health and wellbeing as we age.

Thrive Club is a physiotherapy-led programme for adults, deliberately structured to address both the physical and social dimensions of healthy ageing.

Each session is divided into two complementary components. The first half focuses on clinically informed, supervised exercise, designed to improve strength, balance, mobility, and functional movement, supporting long-term physical independence and confidence. The second half is dedicated to purposeful social engagement, recognising the well-established evidence that meaningful social interaction plays a critical role in cognitive health, emotional wellbeing, and sustained participation in physical activity.

By integrating structured exercise with facilitated social connection, Thrive Club moves beyond traditional fitness classes. It provides an environment where participants not only strengthen their bodies, but also cultivate relationships, motivation, and a sense of belonging - all of which are fundamental to ageing well.

Delivered by Walfinch Bromley and Sevenoaks and Home Links Physiotherapy, promoting wellbeing in our community.

Sessions are hosted at Orpington Village Hall Trust and run on Tuesdays throughout the month, excluding the fourth Tuesday. Attendance is free of charge.
