Rest & Reset Yoga Nidra monthly session to relax, be still, quiet and rest.

🧘🏽‍♀️ This session includes gentle movements to release muscular tension, restorative yoga to calm your nervous system, and the deep meditative practice of Yoga Nidra - Yogic Sleep. Allowing your whole body and mind to find stillness, quiet and rest.

😴 Yoga Nidra known as ‘Yogic Sleep’ is a form of guided meditation, where you fall into a deep state of relaxation, when you are totally relaxed, but not asleep.

😴 It is a powerful sleepy technique to calm the nervous system, slow down brain waves, quieten the breath and instil a sense of complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation to one’s being.

😴 Bliss! This is what you need to help you rest and sleep!

It’s been great to train with Petra Menopause Yoga who has been quite inspiring.

I’ve learnt so much for my own perimenopause stage and feel much more informed to teach and help women on their menopause journey.

🌟 December is the high season of Hygge. A time for cosy blankets, keeping warm and enjoying the season with your nearest and dearest, friends and family.

🕯 This month I will be offering my Christmas Candle Yoga Nidra, where you can create your own little Hygge.

You can experience a soothing and calming practice of a Candle Meditation and Yoga Nidra in the comfort your own home - via Zoom on Thursday 9th December, 6.30pm-8pm.

🤓 I read this little gem of a book recently on holiday and wanted to share it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌊 I could not resist taking a photo of it as I was by the sea!

I switched off from social media (not that I’m a huge user of it as you can tell from my post numbers!) and just enjoyed taking it easy, resting, slowing down and enjoying the moment!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Slowing down is not being lazy. I’m far from lazy! I just have to manage my battery charge carefully - do what I can when I can.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
📖 This little book gives the wisdom of:
Give yourself more time, Don’t crowd your day, Ask what’s important, Take time for relationships, Take time for reflection, Don’t let yourself get hurried, Cultivate patience and Slow down your mind.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This wonderful little book also brought back some memories…

Growing up, my father always used to say ‘take your time Mich’, in whatever I was doing and my mother, ‘Mich take your time and chew properly!’

🍽 This has always stayed with me. I was into Mindful Eating before it was a ‘thing’!
I still eat slowly! I chew a lot! And am always the last one to finish when we are out to dinner!

Reading it reminded me of what is important and what matters (not just eating!)

All things we need a little reminder of now and then.😊
