VHK Women's Health Clinic will always discuss lifestyle management with our clients. HRT is often seen as the sole hero, however to maximise our health and feel well, we should be looking at the whole picture. The 4 pillars of good health are simple:
1. Good diet with lots of colour on that plate
2. Varied exercise
3. Improving our sleep hygiene
4. Ensuring we allow our mental well being to thrive
There is so much more we can all do to help ourselves. Have a great weekend all.

We are passionate about ensuring we educate our fellow healthcare professionals on women's health. Last Friday we were thrilled to hold our latest contraception and menopause course for West Midlands GP trainees. We would like to share some of our feedback.

"I am a bit late to this but I felt that I should take my time and write this in detail for you both because the course and your hard work deserves it.

I rarely attend courses these days solely because I am put off by people reading from the slides and telling me about knowledge present but little practical application. Your course is completely opposite.

- I found the course practically apt, informative, thought stimulating and practice reforming.
- I liked the way you have kept each topic to revolve around clinical scenarios and I feel it is the best way of using knowledge and applying it practically and it helps retain it as well and for people to use it by recalling the situation and the scenarios.
- I felt that the ability to ask as many questions as we could really helped and I felt I may have annoyed you guys a bit with asking too many questions but thanks for taking the time and answering all of them in detail."

I do hope that as you aspire, VHK does become the go-to for Women's health education and I definitely see the potential for sure!

Another 5* review highlighting the importance of time to be heard, understood and gather the relevant information to make informed decisions. We complete our consultations with a detailed report summarising our discussion and listing the recommendations.

Heidi was friendly and open, and listened carefully and gave me useful information and advice. It was great not to feel rushed in the appointment and I look forward to reading through the email of the notes later (much appreciated as I can't remember all of the information covered!) It feels good to have achieved some clarity on my health too. Thank you.

Menopause cafes are a great way to share experience and knowledge and have peer support. We were delighted to be involved with setting up of these cafes through the NHS as part of Dudley Women's Health Hub. It would be fantastic if the government could continue to see the value of these across the communities and secure ongoing funding.

Menopause cafes are a great way to share experience and knowledge and have peer support. We were delighted to be involved with setting up of these cafes through the NHS as part of Dudley Women's Health Hub. Women who attended the sessions felt reassured they are not alone and valued hearing more trusted information about their symptoms and how to manage their menopausal journey. It would be fantastic if the government could continue to see the value of these across the communities and secure ongoing funding.

We hope you have all enjoyed the bank holiday and this wonderful spring sunshine. We have enjoyed some quality time with our families before exam season is upon us. Our well being can be affected by so many aspects of life, not least our hormones, at whatever age we are. Irregular heavy periods of teenage years, balancing PMS and motherhood, or dealing with menopause at home and work are just some examples of challenges we face.
