Right I can't procrastinate about this anymore, it's time to rip the plaster off but before you read any further get the 13th April in your diary for me.....done that??? Then let's get this over with!!!
At the height of the pandemic when everything was in turmoil and the world was upside down, me being me, I thought 'what a great time to start a Community Interest Company and take on a 3 story building on my own!'
So I did!
And the dream of The Kindred Project began just like that. I was drawn to this stunningly beautiful and quirky building, took on the lease and immediately got to work on transforming it into the peaceful spiritual hub you all know and love β¨οΈ
There have been incredible highs, and I'm sad to say some very difficult lows but I don't want to dwell on those suffice to say lessons have most definitely been learned!
Not many people know that Kindred is just little old me doing it all from social media, to invoices and everything in between, so it's been immensely challenging to say the least, and has taken so much of my time, energy, and finances lol over the past few years.
Many of you know that my passion is working with vulnerable people, especially supporting SEND children and families, due to my own amazing son having his multiple SEND diagnoses, and us as a family navigating those difficulties. As such, they now need me more than ever which is another major contributing factor in this huge decision.
The amazing practitioners who have made Kindred their base, the amazing energy we have shared, the wonderful events, workshops, and activities have been an absolute joy beyond measure.
Most importantly, the clients and guests, all of YOU out there, have made Kindred what I always wanted it to be:
welcoming, homely, fully inclusive, and genuinely authentic π
Which leads me to today, sadly with the current climate and things the way they are, Kindred will close her doors for the last time on 18th April π
I could put my prices up, make it members only, chase the cash so to speak, but that's not me and certainly not the dream I had to make the space truly accessible to all from all backgrounds and financial positions. Instead I'd like to remain true to my values, to end as I began, holding space and energy for my beautiful Community, so will you join me for a CELEBRATION DAY on Saturday 13th April? πΎ ππ₯ snacks, drinks, discounts and plenty of laughter, 11-3 then more than likely a walk across to my good friends at Bayleys of Bromsgrove tbc.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for the joy you have all brought to this heart centred spiritual space, I love you all and hold you in light always, but now it's time to focus on my own little family and put them first for a while.
Love, Light and Healing,
Kelly Anne
