Hullo to those few brave souls who actually know this page exists!

I have been struggling with social media for many years and anyone who knows me will attest that I am barely functional around it. I have never been on ticky toks or twitters and only have facebook as I joined it before I knew any better (and before it became a cesspit of populism and toxicity).

Over the last few months I have sent maybe thirty or forty notices to facebook asking them to moderate obviously racist, misogynistic, adult, hateful far right populist posts and every time their bot has told me that racism, misogyny, softly pornographic, bullying and populist far right posts are completely acceptable to them.

As such I am giving notice that I will be finally cleansing my soul and deactivating my page on Wednesday evening.

I have been introduced to a lovely place called Bluesky which is not filled with trolls and populism and fear and bullying and racism and negativity. Indeed it is a place of people liking pictures of stars and cats and squirrels which I am informed is what twitters used to be before it was taken over by a sociopath. As such I have opened an Elpis account on there and will be putting any future blogs etc onto there.

I heard about a possible scam by a company called Sky Blue Education earlier in the week. I was concerned enough to write to the BACP and I have also written a blog on it.

Please pass around to any counsellors or therapists you feel would benefit from knowing companies like this are out there taking advantage of people.
