I'm so grateful to play a part in supporting these wonderful ladies and gents to get out and about, enjoying life to the fullest. It’s truly a privilege!

There’s been so much more too! Visits to the library, visiting clients in hospital, supporting families with arrangements, meeting new clients and their families, shopping, taking clients to the doctors and hairdressers, collecting prescriptions, playing chess with my top chess man!!

Special memories made together …… #2

Celebrating a special birthday with a lovely lady who adores churches. We had a fantastic outing to Holy Trinity Church in Stratford, where Shakespeare was baptised and lies to rest. A lunch at the RSC cafe and to top it off, we were treated to a wonderful serenade by a local musician…..what a wonderful day creating special memories together ♥️

Creating a special memory with a lovely lady, picking her own bouquet of dahlias was precious. Seeing her select each flower, then arrange them at home to treasure, it was lovely to share in her happiness and see the finished arrangement ♥️

Art Therapy sessions at Studley Rose Care Home have been a real hit! Residents with cognitive difficulties have been enjoying acrylic painting and water magic paints, boosting engagement, stimulation, and having fun. One resident, despite struggling with hearing loss, which makes communication difficult for her has created a stunning 3D butterfly masterpiece over the past few weeks. She initially doubted her abilities, but with tailored techniques and support, she shone! Seeing her pride and happiness was so uplifting.

More residents will hopefully complete theirs too over the coming weeks… watch this space 🎨

I'm looking forward to exploring more museums and churches with one of my clients over the coming weeks. Her faith and connection to history are very important to her and it's an honor to share in these meaningful experiences with her.

Last week we visited the The Almonry Museum in Evesham - honestly didn’t know Evesham once had an Abbey! If you didn’t either then this place is so worth visiting and it’s free to visit.

Later in the week we visited Worcester Cathedral. We were incredibly fortunate to stumble upon a wedding while we were there! What a treat to enjoy the beautiful sounds of the organ, choir, and bells – it added a special touch to our visit.

The past three weeks have been an incredible whirlwind of activities! We've had boat trips, painting sessions, batch cooking, hospital visits, Dancing, National Trust outings, Fish and Chips, church trips and so much more.

There's no better feeling than supporting families and their loved ones in meaningful ways.

I am so grateful.

With two weeks of annual leave ahead for some family fun, I've been squeezing in extra visits with all my clients. Time to chill now and reenergise 😎

What a great class!! My client loved it. She was so full of energy. My jaw was hurting from smiling and laughing so much. It was so lovely to see her learning the steps. I would highly recommend a visit to Millcroft Care Home in Redditch. They do so many events there, the public are welcome. They have a Salsa class once a month with John-James JJ

It’s been a fun packed and productive week again. Making new memories, making life feel more fulfilled and lighter by doing things together.

I’ve been all over the place with my clients. There’s been a visit to Mappleborough Garden centre for breakfast, a visit to The View for coffee (in the rain sadly, but we had fun), a visit to Boots for a prescription, a walk along with my client on her mobility scooter while she gains confidence, there’s been watering flowers and gardening, there’s been shopping, there’s been a visit to Waseley Hills for a walk, I’ve done my weekly Sensory Engagement session at Studley Rose care home and there’s been a trip to Attwell Farm!! Omg my client and I were stood next to a Trantula whilst it was out of its cage!!!

This weeks Sensory Engagement session at Studley Rose Care Home was a throw back to PE days, not everyone’s favourite back then, but my version - Physical Engagement was designed to be a good fun session for all.

This session was BRILLIANT!! There were 13 different activities altogether. Ranging from Football, to Badminton, Cricket to Tennis and a few made up. Each adapted as necessary for each resident to feel involved and valued.

We were fortunate enough to have some relatives join us that were visiting their mother….. thanks to them for taking photos as I had my hands full chasing shuttlecocks and tennis balls all over the place!

This session was beneficial on so many levels- physical, mental, cognitive, team building, reminiscing, hand eye coordination, range of movement and above all fun with others! We ended the session with a bubble gun and who doesn’t love bubbles 🫧 🫧
