✨ Happy New Year, everyone ✨

I wanted to share a little update. I enjoyed a quiet (and very sleepy!) Christmas at home, and I’m now back at Worcester Hospital, having completed my second round of chemotherapy today.

Over the next couple of weeks we’ll be waiting for my bloods to recover, and with a bit of luck I’ll be able to head home for some rest. The next step will be heading to the QE for transplant, and I’ve received the wonderful news that three potential donors have been identified and tissue testing is underway.

I’m doing okay, feeling supported, and very grateful. Missing you all and sending love — I’ll see you soon.

💛 A little update from Dr Fi 💛

Just a quick message to let you all know that I’m doing okay.

My first round of chemo is finished for now. There may be more ahead, but I’ll know more in a few weeks and will update you when I can.

I’m being very well-behaved and doing everything the doctors tell me — promise!

A lot of people have kindly asked if I’ll be organising a stem cell donor drive. At the moment, the honest answer is no. Being in hospital is a full-time job, and neither I nor my family have the capacity to take anything else on right now.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has joined dkms_uk or Anthony Nolan— thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🌿

And thank you for every message, prayer, GIF, meme, voice note and bit of healing energy you’ve sent. You’ve lifted my spirits more than you know.

I really am doing okay.
