Monday, Monday, Monday. Full on the first full week back!

I'm anticipating my kiddos being exhausted and emotional this week after the tiredness that back to school brings, especially after this heatwave!

Here's 5 top tips to help them and you!

1.) Give them space to be calm and process after school, leave questions for over dinner!

2.) LOTS of love and cuddles, going back to school is so full on for their little brains and you are where they can allow themselves to meltdown. Tears and tantrums after school are often repressed emotions.

3.) No time out- just time in! Similar to the above but when they are being challenging it's usually to do with some BIG emotions. Be with them and present when they are struggling with this. Organise their feelings- labelling what it is they are struggling with.

4.) When you're at breaking point, tired, stressed or filled with rage. Stop and breathe! Take a deep full breath into your belly expanding the abdomen and then exhaling slowly. Repeat x5.

5.)Conciously relax your jaw, forehead and your shoulders. You often dont notice the tension you are holding there!

🤰Let's talk Pregnancy Yoga!

So why is yoga so great during pregnancy?

Yoga is great for circulation, which during pregnancy is super important for helping oxygen flow and carrying nutrients around the body looking after both mum and baby 💫

Not only that but regular yoga practice improves posture and strengthens muscles that we need to stabilise. This can help to reduce back and pelvis pain which is so common for pregnant mumas! 🧘‍♀️

It's also a fantastic way to relax, regulate the nervous system and get a nice dose of those feel good hormones - endorphins 🙌

I also love that a space is created for women to connect and support eachother 💓

Hi!! Sitting here in my beautiful sun coloured bedroom, feeling very blissful and thought it's about time for an introduction!
I'm Emily :) A mother to two wonderful and wild children. I previously taught English in a secondary school which meant i was living in my stress response ALL the time 😬 Yoga has been my relief, my calm and the lesson that lead me to change. It truly looks after all elements of the mind, body and soul 🧡 Combining my love of teaching, motherhood and yoga lead to training with the wonderful .freedomseekers of to teach Pregnancy Yoga, Kids Yoga and Hypnobirthing with Baby yoga following soon! Classes will begin in September around South Norfolk. Feel free to drop me a message if you are interested in hearing about specific classes, it'd be lovely to hear from you 😊
