What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning ! Today I revisited LVFC a frame football club for youngsters with Cerebral Palsy. I have been visiting the club for 4 years now and every time I go I see huge progress in the players and volunteer coaches who are knowledgeable and extremely dedicated.

Today we stood up for CP during our warm up with all the players and coaches doing sit to stands or burpees in 1 minute.

At the end I was both thrilled and very honoured to receive a star of the day award, it will be framed later !

If you have a youngster who wants to get involved in frame football I highly recommend this team. They are so friendly and inclusive and are generally fantastic individuals who come together to make magic happen.

Its not long until the 2026 stand up for Cerebral Palsy challenge starts again. Where has that year gone ?

Every day the challenge is to do as many burpees as possible in 1 minute. Patients can choose to do sit to stands as an alternative. The aim is to show how practice equals progression and to raise awareness of CP.

So come on everyone lets get this challenge done !

Little Victories in the Community have secured £9,740 for our project: Little Victories Active 🙌

Little Victories aims to create an inclusive, multisport community for individuals aged 18+ who have been inactive due to long-term health conditions or other barriers.

By providing a supportive and welcoming environment, we will empower members to engage in physical activity, improve their well-being, and build social connections.

👉Sessions will be flexible, accessible, and held on both a week day and on an evening. Partnering with local sports clubs, we will offer tailored activities to suit diverse needs. With volunteer support, our goal is to establish a sustainable, community-led initiative that promotes lifelong participation in sport and active living.
