Fantastic day supporting the corporate runners at today's Jane Tomlinson Run For All Hull 10k & Half Marathon. A massive thankyou to Nick, Nikolay and Paul for being part of the pre and post-event massage team today, you all worked your socks of and were a joy to work with, and I think the runners were really grateful for our help!

A big well done to all the runners, for some their first event, and for some a PB, but for all a big achievement raising money for a lot of worthy causes!

Bring on next year's event!

First gym session after a couple of months off, strongman circuit. Loved it!

Happy! Broken but happy!

Now for food before this afternoon's sports therapy clinic, getting some runners back up and running (sorry about the pun!)

Just back from a fantastic day in Leeds with the Centre for Pain Research at Leeds Beckett University and the Jane Tomlinson Appeal, learning about the phd research they have funded to study how kinesio tape can help alleviate cancer-related symptoms.

So many great ideas being shared, and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting other healthcare specialists (health care assistants, nurses, physios) and other professionals working for charities looking at funding and research.

Many thanks to:
- Gourav Bannerjee (PhD student Centre for Pain Research, School of Clinical and Applied Sciences, Leeds Beckett University)
- Professor Mark I Johnson Professor of Pain & Analgesia, Centre for Pain Research, School of Clinical and Applied Sciences, Leeds Beckett University)
- Professor Michelle Briggs Florence Nightingale Foundation Chair in Clinical Nursing Practice Research Division of Nursing, Midwifery & Social Work, University of Manchester & Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT)
- Alison Rose, Specialist Sports Physiotherapist, Director Coach House Sports Physiotherapy Clinic, Leeds
- Kate Goldring, Appeal Manager, The Jane Tomlinson Appeal

And the delegates too for being so welcoming and open to discussions - there was no such thing as a bad idea!

One of the best days of learning I've had to date, and hopefully there will be many more in the future!
