Would you know how to respond in an emergency?

Drivers are often first on the scene when someone suffers a cardiac arrest, meaning that knowing CPR could save a life.

If done effectively, it can more than double the chance of someone surviving a cardiac arrest, which is why from 2026 the theory test will include CPR and defibrillator questions.

As part of the changes, car and motorcycle theory test candidates will need to familiarise themselves with CPR techniques and how to use automated external defibrillators.

⛑️ Today we have been teaching children ⛑️ in …..

Teaching First Aid Isn’t Just for Adults – It Starts with Children Too! 🚑

Did you know that children as young as 6 years old can learn the basics of first aid?
The Mini Medics course is specifically designed for children aged 6–11, giving them the knowledge and confidence to help in an emergency.

👦👧 What they will learn:
✅ Calling 999 and what to say
✅ How to check for dangers before helping
✅ Basic CPR & recovery position (child-friendly)
✅ Using a defibrillator (AED)
✅ Bandaging and treating shock
✅ Dealing with bumps, cuts, and minor injuries
✅ Understanding common illnesses (seizures, asthma, etc.)
✅ What’s inside a first aid kit and how to use it

📖 Each child also gets their own activity book to take away – a fun, practical reference they can look back on anytime.

Why it matters:
🌟 Children are often the first on the scene when a parent, sibling, or friend needs help.
🌟 Early training builds confidence, responsibility, and life-saving skills.
🌟 It creates safer schools, communities, and families.
