🌱 Growing Skills & Growing Confidence at Forever Savvy

Our trainees have been out in the gardens this week putting their practical skills to work — preparing raised beds, improving our outdoor spaces, and learning the routines that keep our sites thriving.

Gardening offers so much more than fresh air: it builds independence, teamwork, problem‑solving, and a real sense of achievement.

Whether they’re levelling soil, planting, or maintaining the beds, every task helps develop skills that transfer across all three Savvy centres. It’s hands‑on learning with purpose — and the pride in their work shines through.

Grooming sessions like this help build trust, responsibility, and real‑life experience — and they’re a brilliant way for trainees to grow their independence while supporting the wellbeing of our animals.

Every brush stroke, every moment of teamwork, and every bit of care shown reflects the heart of what we do: meaningful learning in a supportive, encouraging environment. The pride and focus in these sessions make us incredibly proud.

Be like JP and try all three!

Our trainees have been shining across every Savvy site this week — from animal care and outdoor maintenance to gardening, woodworking, and café skills. Each centre offers something different, and every day brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and build confidence.

- 🐴 **At Horse Savvy**, trainees are developing brilliant animal‑handling skills and working safely with our ponies.

- 🛠️ **At Creative Savvy**, they’re building practical skills through hands‑on projects that boost independence and pride. Teamwork is thriving as raised beds are prepared and outdoor spaces are transformed.

- 🍫 **At Café Savvy**, trainees are mastering food prep and café skills that support real‑world experience.

Wherever they go, their enthusiasm, teamwork, and determination make each centre special. So if you’re not sure which Savvy site is your favourite — use your transitional skills and explore all three. There’s something amazing happening at every one of them. 💛

Supporting through online media

Forever Savvy offers vocational training and support for adults with learning disabilities. Our aim is to make life more meaningful for people with a learning disability. We provide outdoor education centres and a café setting with the sole aim of helping people to take their first steps towards employment. Our community projects enable people to work with animals, on the land, or within our very own Tea & Coffee Shop. Based within a safe environment, we give people the opportunity to learn new life and work skills, and to achieve a healthy emotional and physical balance in their lives.

All of our centres are currently closed due to the COVID-19 lockdown, but does that stop us? OH NO, we’re are fighters, we are innovative, we are life long learners and positive thinkers.

The Forever Savvy Team will keep on supporting our trainees and to ensure they stay fit and healthy and their mental state remains in tacked whilst they remain safely in their homes. We are taking our support services online on this newly dedicated page..
