Prescription Collection Policy Update
Due to a high number of uncollected prescriptions, we are making an important change to how long we can hold medication.
Preparing prescriptions requires significant time, resources, and cost — including:
- NHS prescribing costs
- Medication purchasing
- Dispensing materials (bags, labels, printing, etc.)
Uncollected prescriptions result in avoidable waste and reduce our ability to serve all patients efficiently.

🕒 We will only hold prescriptions for up to 4 weeks
- After 4 weeks, any uncollected medication will be returned to your GP
- You may need to request a new prescription if this happens

We offer a free text message service to keep you informed about your prescription status, including:
- When your prescription has been received
- If we are awaiting stock
- When your prescription is ready to collect
