Someone asked me this week why people quit habits that make them feel better

And honestly? It broke my heart a little......

Because I've seen it. Someone starts feeling good, life gets busy, they stop β€” and then they're back at square one wondering why they're exhausted again and they punish themselves further but quitting completely

That's exactly why I started Nutrition Club

Not to sell products (although yes, we use Herbalife and it's genuinely changed how I feel every single day)

But to create a space where people stay consistent because they're not doing it alone

We meet on Wednesday evenings at Broughton Memorial Hall. We talk about energy, hydration, protein β€” the basics that most of us were never actually taught

And we show up for each other we discuss lifestyle routines and more

Stop relying on willpower - Start relying on placement

In manufacturing there's a concept called lean (takes me back to my Benders Paper Cups days) β€” eliminating any step that wastes time or energy.
The classic example: stop putting mugs across the kitchen. Put them above the kettle. One less thing to think about. One less reason to not bother

Your health habits work exactly the same way

If your tablets are hidden away β€” you won't take the

If your protein snack is at home β€” you'll grab the biscuits instead

If your water bottle is in the cupboard β€” it stays there

Tiny friction = broken habit
Zero friction = habit that actually sticks

This week, try this:

I used to stand in the supermarket aisle genuinely baffled by protein

Which one? How much? Does it even matter? I just grabbed whatever was cheapest and hoped for the best

Spoiler: it gathered dust

What nobody tells you is that not all protein is created equal

The sugar content, the quality of the source, the amino acid profile, whether your body can actually absorb it properly β€” it matters. A lot. And the cheapest option on the shelf is usually cheap for a reason

I spent years not understanding my own body. My energy was all over the place, I was doing "all the right things" and still feeling rubbish. Learning about protein β€” properly, not just from the back of a tub β€” genuinely changed how I feel day to day

I'm not a doctor. I'm not a dietitian. I'm just someone who got curious, did the work, and now can't shut up about it πŸ˜€

And I refuse to apologise for that

If you've ever grabbed a random protein powder, used it twice, and wondered why nothing changed β€” I see you. There's a better way and I love talking about it
