Good Afternoon,
It comes with a mix of great discomfort and immense pride that I announce the launch of www.canterppe.com.
Discomfort in the fact that to supply a vital piece of PPE to govt healthcare workers I am still having to facilitate it's donation through schools and charities at least for another week until we achieve the fast tracked CE marking and accreditation. Donation is the only way this can presently be done even though 1000's of these are now being worn by NHS workers across the UK. On the opposite hand I'm immensely proud to have worked and interacted with a group of people who have been unfaltering in their determination to get the job done, these people cannot be thanked enough for their effort.
Production is currently at a rate of 3000 visors a day and so far all production of tens of thousands of visors have been donated. I understand that some may ask why donation can not continue indefinitely by Canterbury Tools, but with production costs totalling £1000's per day there is a limit to what I can achieve without further backing or outside funding and I believe this is my best way to continue to produce at the rates we are and indeed increase them.
The Canterppe website has been created to enable the continued short to medium term supply of this vital Personal Protective Equipment to front line healthcare workers while the certification process is completed. Members of the public or companies purchasing can donate directly to those that they are aware are in need or via the schools and charities listed on the website who are receiving requests daily directly from hospitals and other healthcare institutions. Companies such as care homes can purchase directly for staff protection. Individual healthcare and key workers can purchase visors for their own protection.
