A really special moment was captured at Broxbourne Nursing Home 💜

Our wonderful resident Kay, who is 102, was spending some quiet time enjoying the soothing sounds of classical music. She had her eyes gently closed, completely relaxed and taking in every note, with her loyal little canine friend by her side 🐶

It was one of those peaceful scenes where everything just feels still for a moment, and you can see how much comfort the music brings her.

It was bingo time at Broxbourne Nursing Home , and what a lovely afternoon it turned out to be 🎰💜

Our wonderful residents, family members and our team all came together for a good old game, with plenty of friendly competition and lots of laughter along the way. There were a few playful attempts at “rule bending” too, which kept everyone smiling 😊

After all the numbers were called, we settled down together with refreshments and a selection of cakes and sweet treats to celebrate our winners and enjoy a chat together 🍰💜

At Broxbourne Nursing Home , we came together to proudly commemorate VE Day, marking 81 years since Victory in Europe

Residents and their families spent a lovely time together enjoying live entertainment, plenty of refreshments, and a beautiful selection of cakes. There was a real sense of togetherness in the room, with conversations flowing and everyone sharing the occasion side by side.

It was a meaningful day for our home, taking a moment to reflect on such an important milestone while also enjoying each other’s company and creating new memories along the way 💜

A little belated but no less heartfelt 💜 Last week, we took a moment at Broxbourne Nursing Home to say a big thank you to our incredible nursing team for everything they do.

From kind words to a few small treats, it was just a small token of our appreciation for the care, compassion, and support they show every single day. We are so lucky to have such a dedicated team looking after our wonderful residents. Thank you for all that you do ❤️

A lovely day out for our residents at Broxbourne Nursing Home 🥘

We headed out into the community for lunch at a local café before enjoying a wander around Morrisons together 😊 Our lovely residents loved choosing their own meals, browsing the shops and stopping for chats along the way.

Getting out and about together always brings plenty of smiles, fresh air and lovely moments shared with one another 💜

Our knitting club at Broxbourne Nursing Home has been busy once again 🧶

Each week, our lovely residents come together with family members and people from the local community to knit little squares that will be turned into cosy blankets for children in hospital 💜 There’s always plenty of chatting, laughter and helping hands around the table.

We’ve also been so grateful for the kind donations of tiny baby hats, which brought lots of smiles to everyone involved 😊

We had such a lovely afternoon last week at Broxbourne Nursing Home home celebrating St George’s Day together 🏴

Our residents came together for a warm and uplifting church service, and it really brought everyone closer. There were plenty of smiles, a few familiar hymns, and that lovely feeling of shared moments in the room 💜

Afterwards, we settled in with tea, coffee and some very tempting cupcakes. The singing carried on, with residents and families joining in and enjoying a good old singalong. It felt relaxed, cheerful, and full of togetherness

April didn’t feel like one big moment across our homes, but lots of smaller ones and that’s what made it so special 💜

There were Easter crafts, feasts, time spent outside as the weather picked up, and plenty of conversations sparked along the way. We also took time to recognise Autism Acceptance Week and Parkinson’s Awareness Week, creating space to learn, reflect and support one another.

St George’s Day brought a bit of fun and familiarity too, with simple touches that made people smile 🏴

It’s these everyday moments that shape life in our homes, not just the celebrations, but the time spent together in between.

A big thank you, as always, to our teams for everything they do to make those moments happen

On Friday 10th April, we had the pleasure of heading out into the community as we were kindly invited by our local MP, Lewis Cocking MP , to take part in the Older Persons’ Fair 💜

It was such a lovely day meeting other local groups and businesses, sharing ideas and chatting about how we can all support older people in our community. There was a real sense of togetherness, with plenty of warm conversations along the way

We’re so grateful to everyone who made us feel so welcome and helped make the day such a positive experience. It’s moments like these that remind us how special our local community really is 😄

We had such a lovely Easter celebration here at Broxbourne Nursing Home 🐣🐇

It was a beautiful opportunity for our wonderful residents and their families to come together, share time with one another and reflect on the meaning of spring and renewal in the Christian faith 💒💜

Everyone enjoyed a wonderful selection of tasty appetisers and refreshments, all while relaxing to some lovely live entertainment in the background. The atmosphere felt so warm and uplifting, with plenty of smiles, conversation and time spent simply enjoying being together 🎶

It truly was a special day filled with connection, family and happy memories made all round ❤️💐
