Broxbourne Nursing Home recently had the immense pleasure of celebrating a monumental occasion as we honoured one of our beloved residents, Ms. Kate, on her incredible 103rd birthday! 🎉❤️🥳

This special day was made even more memorable with the presence of our esteemed guest, the Mayor of Broxbourne, Cllr Patsy Spears. It was delightful to see her join us in the festivities, sharing in the joy and laughter that filled the room. The event was alive with vibrant live entertainment, featuring singing and dancing that brought together both our dedicated staff and wonderful residents. It truly showcased the spirit of our community! 🎶💃

We wanted to make this day as special as possible for our lovely Ms Kate and help her celebrated in style with familiar friendly faces all around 😄

We are thrilled to report that everyone in attendance had a fantastic time, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Let's all come together to wish Ms. Kate a very happy 103rd birthday! May this year bring her even more joy and love 💐🥳

It was a warm and delightful Thursday here at Broxbourne Nursing Home which meant it was time for our Knitting session. Knitting sessions at our home takes place at 10:30am and are accompanied with yummy refreshments throughout! 🎨 🍹

During this session our community members along with family supporters accompanied our lovely residents; our residents were over the moon with the support they were given and there were endless smiles that filled our home 😄 🌛

Residents worked on a variety of projects, from cosy scarves and blankets to simple practise pieces for those polishing their knitting skills. The room was filled with conversation, laughter, and the gentle rhythm of knitting needles, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone involved 😅 🧣

We participated in this session to provide an enjoyable, creative experience for the residents while also encouraging social interaction. This is so beneficial for residents as it combines an activity they love and can use to express themselves creatively with a life skill that helps them step outside their comfort zone in a safe and trustworthy environment 💟

Our residents at Broxbourne Nursing Home and their families were delighted to meet Bear, a therapy dog from Therapy Dogs Nationwide 🐾

There were lots of smiles as residents enjoyed offering Bear gentle cuddles, tasty treats, and soft strokes 🥰🐕 His calm and friendly nature brought comfort, happiness, and some truly special moments for everyone involved. A very pawsome visit that was enjoyed by all ❤️

What a delightful afternoon spent with one of our favourite live entertainers Will Smith! 💜

Our home was alive with his vibrant mix of classic pop, jazz, and Caribbean tunes, which residents and families truly enjoyed.

A few residents danced, while others sat comfortably, giggling and singing along. We had such a fantastic time and can’t wait to welcome this talented gentleman back soon! 🕺

Dog Therapy Visit at Broxbourne Nursing Home 😊🐕‍

We were delighted to welcome Bear from Therapy Dogs Nationwide to Broxbourne Nursing Home His visit brought so much joy to our residents. Everyone loved stroking his fluffy fur, sparking lots of conversations and laughter throughout the day.

Residents are still asking when Bear will be back, as they all enjoyed his visit so much! 🐾
