Well it’s been another busy week, our Wednesday Group was very active 😂

We have an extra Sunday Group this week Sunday 21st 13:00 - 15:00 as Alan is inconsiderately on holiday next week

What a fantastic week it's been. From all our western-themed activities to ending the week with a thrilling rodeo, we've had an absolute blast. It's been incredible to see everyone get involved and have so much fun.

This week is a powerful reminder of how important visibility is for people with learning disabilities. It's about being seen, being heard, and having the opportunity to live and participate as valued members of our communities.

For people to be truly heard, advocacy is vital. Advocates help ensure voices are amplified and rights are protected, empowering individuals to live the life they choose. The joy and energy of this week's activities show just how vital it is that we all work together to break down barriers and create a Scotland where everyone can thrive.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made this week so special.

What a busy day at Broxburn United Sports Club!

Wednesday group saw quite a lot of illegal horse racing and enough outlaws to warrant a visit from Fiona Bell from Community Policing 😂

We also held our first Disability Panel, with excellent feed back from Sam who attends our Sunday Group!

This has been an excellent start to Scottish Leaning Disabilities Week 2025 and we look forward to seeing you all on Sunday for our Rodeo to finish the week off with a bang

Water Sensory - Sunday, 13th July 2025

The forecast is looking sunny and warm with highs of 30°C, so we’ll be making the most of it outdoors with some fun and refreshing water sensory activities 💦

Please remember:

Wear light, comfortable clothing that’s okay to get wet

Bring a hat and sun cream, we want everyone to stay safe in the sun!

And maybe a change of clothes, just in case!

As always we will have our usual activities available for those who aren't too keen on the water.

Well what a day!

A fantastic turnout for Edinburgh Airport vs Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity despite the weather.

It was a pleasure to provide the activities today and really showcase what this group is about, Community Integration, Sharing Resources and Supporting Great Local Causes.

It was great to see so many new faces and we'll hopefully see some of you in our Wednesday and Sunday Session.

And finally a massive thank you once again to our partners at Smile ~ Adventure With Dementia for the use of the equipment.
