I'm Sophie and I am a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist.

I work with people suffering with anxiety, depression and related issues. Hypnotherapy is a wonderful tool for dealing with a range of mental health issues. The solution focused nature means that instead of concentrating on the problem, we look to the future and think about what life will be like when the problem is no longer there. It can be hard to find motivation in the winter months. Many of us find this time of year challenging for one reason or another.

Here is a little tip for coping better...
Why not try to think of three good things about this time of year. Three reasons why this time of year is important or helpful. As we watch the trees let go of their leaves, maybe this is a time where we can also let go of some of the things that are holding us back.

How does solution focused hypnotherapy help with anxiety and stress?

Solution focused hypnotherapy is a wonderful tool for managing a range of issues. When suffering with anxiety or stress, we tend to notice an increase in negative thoughts. When more and more of our thoughts are negative, they pile up in the brain and we then find it hard to cope with daily life. The things we used to enjoy, we don't any more and we might even notice a change in our relationships or work life.

Hypnotherapy helps with this by reducing the amount of negative thoughts we are having and focusing on what is going well as well as what we want to achieve in the future. When we think in a positive way, we start to notice the changes we want to see.

I'm delighted to let you know that I will be running a guided relaxation class in Bruton from 18th November.
These classes will run in half term blocks.
The first block of sessions will run up until w/c 16th December
🗓Mondays 10:30 - 11:15
🗓Tuesdays 19:30-20:15
📍At the Chapel, Bruton
✨£10 per session or £45 to block book all 5 classes
✨Spaces are limited so please book your place in advance
✨Tips and hints to improve relaxation and manage stress
✨Reflecting and goal setting
✨Bring a yoga mat, pillow, blanket or whatever you need to make yourself comfortable

Breathe. Make your exhale longer than your inhale to engage the parasympathetic nervous system. Open your senses to the here and now…
