Our Story
The Veterans Farm Able Foundation is a Registered Charity (No 1175204) formed in 2013 to support Veterans, Emergency Service Personnel and their families to resettle after suffering trauma by providing a therapeutic programme of rural and craft skills.
We provide a therapeutic programme of social farming comprising rural and craft skills activities, and training and experience in a range of aspects of farm life to enable individuals to gain the benefits of working with nature and animals. Based on the Dartington Hall Estate in South Devon, the Foundation utilises the 1200 acre estate, and other farms across the South West to deliver its activity programme.
Since inception, we have supported many veterans and the demand is ever-increasing. We have also seen a spike in demand since we were featured on Countryfile https://vimeo.com/233682879
