Janet's family decided to add a Mallard engine on to her order of service and condolence book as a way for her late husband to be included in the service as he was a train driver 🚂

Wildflower seeds and a mixture of pins were also attached to the order of services for loved ones to take home as a keepsake

Thank you to Samantha from Mexborough Funeralcare for organising such a special tribute 💙

End of life care is incredibly tough, especially for young carers. This we’re thinking of young carers who support others through the hardest times. These small soothing things are here to offer a little comfort when it’s needed most ⬇️

Something Soft 🧸
- A hoodie that still smells like them or a teddy to keep you grounded.

A Soundtrack for Stillness 🎶
- For when you need a moment to pause or catch your breath.

A Tiny Escape 📚
- A favourite book or game. Just a few minutes away can help you come back stronger.

A Scent That Grounds You 🕯️
- Their shampoo, a candle or essential oil. Let a familiar smell calm your body and mind.

If you’re a young carer or know one, we’d love to know what helped you or what you’d recommend to others. Your voice matters 💙

We know Christmas can be especially difficult when you've been through a bereavement. It's the time of year where families & friends come together, which can make us miss the people we've lost even more.

Along with St Lukes Church, we would like to invite you to a Christmas Memorial Service at St Lukes Church, Buckfastleigh on Wednesday 11th December 2024 at 3.30pm followed by tea, coffee, mince pies & biscuits.

If you can't attend the service, our funeral home behind St Lukes Church will be open on Wednesday 11th December 2024 between 6pm & 7pm for you to write a memorial tag to take home for your tree or to place on our tree.

We recently had the privilege of arranging a funeral for a massive West Ham United football fan - the coffin and flowers were personalised to give a fitting farewell. A bubble machine blew bubbles over the coffin as it left church accompanied to "I'm forever blowing bubbles ".

One of our limousine's ready to take a family to the funeral of their loved one. Having a limousine helps to take away the worry of driving to the funeral and wake on a very emotional day plus it enables a family to travel together.
