I haven't posted on here for a long while, but we recently had some great news, and I wanted to share it with you! 😊

Eva recently went for an Almond challenge....and PASSED!! 🎉

She was incredibly brave going through the challenge, as you who have gone through these will know, eating a food not knowing if you will have a reaction is very scary, and I'm so proud at how she fought through despite the fear.

Eva is over the moon to have passed and safely eat Almonds now. It's given her a huge confidence boost and hopefully we can start to add more allergens on to the safe list in the future 🤞.

I cannot explain how it feels to see someone so excited for the first time to try almonds! ♥️

She completed the challenge with almond butter but at home this evening she tried them raw, and I made her a tasty treat of Nomo Chocolate covered almonds which she cannot stop eating!

Tomorrow I'm making her homemade almond milk and soon homemade chocolate spread with almonds! 😍 (very excited mummy here!)

How are you all getting on with life and navigating food challenges you've recently had? x

Last week after school Eva shared with me that she'd sat on her own at lunch and didn't have anyone to play with at lunch.

It broke my heart. She used to be such a happy girl with lots of friends but since moving schools, I've noticed a real change with her and her confidence.

Our environment makes such a difference to how we feel. She's gone from nursery and early school settings to not only keep her safe but make sure she's fully included.

I'm not at all criticising her school, because they are very aware about how serious her allergies are and are really committed to keeping her safe, but at the same time probably don't realise the emotional impact this has on her, especially if she's forgotten about when organising activities.

With a Coronation picnic being organised at school, Eva doesn't want to go and it's completely understandable but I'm working with the school to see how we can make it an inclusive event for her.

It's frustrating that they and sometimes others need this pointing out.

The seriousness of Eva's allergies are something people we know are aware of, but most of them really have no idea what it's actually like to live with. 😕

What do you wish people knew about living with allergies?

Breakfast like a queen and you're going to have a great day!

My girls love granola not just for breakfast but as a lunchbox snack or after school treat too!

We were gifted this box, but we do regularly buy it too. It's absolutely delicious, as well as dairy free, nut free and gluten free.

There are 4 different flavours to choose from; Victoria Sponge (our favourite), Cherry Bakewell, Banoffee Pie and Vanilla Latte.

I've made overnight oats using coconut milk, blended smooth adding strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and a teaspoon of vanilla, topped with strawberries and granola, which adds extra sweetness and crunchiness for a quick and easy delicious breakfast that we as a family can all enjoy.

Swipe to see my cheekies enjoying theirs! ➡️

For years we have always been eating the same breakfasts as a family, using coconut milk for safety around Eva so the taste test has to satisfy all our taste buds and this definitely does!

Great news for you! I have a 𝟭𝟬% discount code you can use to purchase your next box 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗬𝟭𝟬.

Have you tried these yet?

⭐️ Save the dates ⭐️

The monthly allergy meet-ups will be on the last Thursday of each month, and we’ll be covering topics from eczema, asthma to managing the day to day with food allergies and more.

What people say to me after these meet ups is that they feel less alone and that it’s nice to connect with people who get it.

It’s eye opening for me too to hear about everyone’s stories, how brave they are and the tips they have to share.

I love seeing you guys on Zoom and I’m excited to see more of you in person this year 😁!
