There’s still time to vote in this year’s Moray & Banffshire Heroes Awards. We’re proud to sponsor Carer of the Year and help recognise the paid and unpaid carers who make such a difference every day.

Our MD, Ron Taylor, a former carer himself, says:
“Carers make a huge difference every day, whether they’re professional care workers or family members supporting loved ones. Their compassion and dedication often go unseen. So, if you know someone who goes above and beyond, please nominate them and show them that you care.”

Nominations close at midnight on Sunday 1 February.

As 2025 comes to a close, we look back on a year of progress across the Parklands group.

From opening our new 58 bed Pittyvaich care home in Inverness to launching new partnerships with Highland Hospice and Mikeysline, it has been a year marked by investment in the communities and people we serve. We have also been proud to receive multiple awards recognising our work in wellbeing, innovation and community impact and, of course, we are delighted that our sister home Eilean Dubh in Fortrose was named Regional Care Home of the Year Scotland.

Thank you to our teams, residents, families and communities for everything you do. We look forward to what 2026 will bring.

As 2025 comes to a close, our Managing Director Ron Taylor reflects on a landmark year for Parklands and looks ahead to what’s next.

"I'm just as passionate now as I was 32 years ago when I started the business. We're always looking for ways to improve and deliver the best care possible for our residents," says Ron.

Watch him reflect on the year's key milestones, and what we have in store for 2026 ⬇️

The final 2025 issue of Parklands Press is out now. MD Ron Taylor looks back on the highlights of the past year and shares his thoughts as we look ahead to 2026.

There's also coverage of Eilean Dubh’s recent award win, a festive round up from our homes, and a very special story from Lynemore. Resident Jean Munro, a Second World War veteran and former codebreaker, has recently been awarded the Freedom of Bletchley Park in recognition of her remarkable service.

A note of thanks to our staff, residents and families for all the kind donations for the local HUB food drive. It is a privilege to help families in our area at this time of year. Kevin was very welcoming and explained to us how the Hub works, we are so lucky to have such a service in our town. 🎄🎅🏻

They say Christmas is a time of giving, and nine-year-old Lillie-J showed just that at Netherha this festive season. After fundraising to buy a gift for every resident, she also made personalised Christmas cards and donated to the residents’ comfort fund - a lovely example of Christmas kindness in action. 🤝🎄
