The story of Parklands Care Homes doesn’t begin in 1993 with the opening of our first home in Buckie. It begins in the 1980s, when founder Ron Taylor, then a student, cared for his ailing grandfather.

“I always knew that if I ever got involved in the care business, I would want to make sure that the care I gave him is the same care any of our residents get.”

Waddle Toddle is back at Parklands and Burnbank this week.

Join us every Tuesday from 5 May to 30 June, 10.30–11.15am, for relaxed outdoor play sessions designed for babies through to pre-schoolers.

It’s a chance for little ones to explore, play and enjoy stories and songs, while parents and carers can connect and spend time with our residents.

Sessions are free to attend, but donations to organisers Earthtime are welcome.

Stacy Ross started as a care assistant and is now a shift leader at Deveron Way in Huntly, building her skills and progressing every step of the way.

Now working towards her SVQ 4, she’s aiming for a future in management.

There’s been quite the buzz along the Moray coast, so we couldn’t resist a little trip to Findochty to see if we could spot the famous wandering walrus 🦭

Each trip brought fresh excitement, with residents enjoying the crisp sea air, beautiful views. There was lots of chat about where he might appear 😁

We had a wonderful time enjoying a picnic lunch in the bus at Lossiemouth West Beach — plenty of, tasty treats, and peaceful moments by the water.

One of our residents summed it up perfectly: “Bonnie Lossie,it’s beautiful!” 💙
