🌼 A Summer Fair to Remember at Clarendon House! 🌼

What a joyful day we had at our Summer Fair! With delicious cakes, a sizzling BBQ, Chocolate Fountain, Tombola, live piano music, and classic games like Hook-a-Duck, the garden was full of laughter, music, and community spirit.

We were thrilled to welcome fantastic local stalls, from one raising funds for Teenage Cancer Trust to another showcasing our residents’ beautiful handmade crafts. One of our talented residents even hosted her own stall, displaying her stunning artwork and jewellery, including a lovely forget-me-not keyring, which caught the eye of Calum Anderson, the amazing Buckingham MP, who delighted everyone with a surprise visit!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along, helped out, or supported the day in any way. You made it truly special! 💙

Fan Decorating Fun!

Today’s craft activity was all about decorating fans 🪭 perfect for the summer heat! Our residents got creative with paints, patterns, and a touch of sparkle, each making a fan that was uniquely theirs.

A big thank you to our lovely volunteers Anne, Janet, and Fatima, whose help and encouragement made the afternoon extra special. 🎨

Yesterday, Clarendon House was delighted to welcome the Swan Singers, who gave a wonderful performance for our residents. Their b and gave a wonderful performance for our residents. Their beautiful harmonies and classic songs had everyone smiling, singing along, and enjoying a truly uplifting afternoon. We look forward to seeing them again soon! 🦢

We’re preparing for a fantastic day of fun at Clarendon House, and our Tambola stall is always a big hit, but we need your help to make it a success!

Do you have any unwanted items in good condition?
We’re looking for things like:

🎀 Trinkets & bits and bobs

If it’s something nice you no longer need, it could make a perfect prize!

Singing Gwen was back yesterday, stealing hearts and touching souls. Her songs stirred memories, with toddlers playing and singing around our feet. it was pure magic. Thank you Gwen. Can’t wait to see you again in September. 🥰

Visit to Buckingham Primary School 🏫
Yesterday’s trip to Buckingham Primary School’s summer fete was a real treat! The event was brilliantly organised, with music, ice cream 🍦 , and plenty of fun activities. Our residents loved meeting community members and taking photos with the horses 🐎 , ambulance crew, and fire brigade. A big highlight was riding in the off-road utility vehicle 🚗 , which brought lots of smiles and laughter. Anna was especially delighted to see her granddaughter and great-granddaughter. The day ended with a joyful game of tambola, everyone won a little something 🤩

Today’s potato peeling activity brought back fond memories for our residents, who were delighted to take part in something so familiar and comforting. It was a simple yet meaningful task that offered a lovely sense of purpose and connection, and the peeled potatoes are already promised for tomorrow’s Fish &Chips!

Jean celebrated her birthday over the weekend, surrounded by her loving family, dear friends, and the warm support of staff. The atmosphere was filled with joy, laughter, and music, thanks to a wonderfully lively entertainer who had everyone clapping along. It was a heartwarming occasion, full of smiles and happy memories. 🎂 🎈 🎉

Look at that little angel who just popped in with armfuls of flowers and a bright, heartwarming smile that lit up the home. The flowers now bloom in our hanging basket, a colourful reminder of her radiant smile and kind spirit. We love you sweet Alice 😍
