MENTAL HEALTH CAN BE TIRING

What can seem like an easy task for some people can seem insurmountable for others. Sometimes just getting out of bed IS winning the day, celebrate those wins!

When negative thoughts hit us we need to find ways to change those thoughts, so if you’re sat there swallowed by guilt over all the things you didn’t do today list all the things you did do.

If you feel overwhelmed by your to do list categorise it into what is essential, what is important and what can wait.

And at the end of the day celebrate those wins!

❤️❤️❤️Yes Another Valentines Day Post ❤️❤️❤️

Another Valentines Day Day is upon us and for many people it is a day filled with romance and surprise, a day to express how much they love their significant other. But not for everyone.

I’m going to let you into a secret. I have only ever received 1 Valentines Day card...ever...at school...from a girl named Karen...and we went on a date...but with me being in the closet it wasn’t a success.

I’ve never had a partner on Valentines Day, never had the chocolates, never had the shoutout on the radio, never had the surprise trip to a romantic city or the dinner in a fancy restaurant.

For many people Valentines Day is a lonely day. Maybe you’re single and have trouble finding a partner? Maybe you just broke up? Maybe they just passed? For these and many other reasons Valentines Day can be a hard day to get through.

So if you’re feeling that way today show yourself some love, you deserve it! Treat yourself to something nice, hire your favourite movie (hire..how old am I? haha). Stream your favourite movie, cook yourself something special for dinner. Or maybe you can reach out to your single friend and share how much you value them in your life.

Speaking from personal experience I know that learning to love yourself can be one of the hardest things to do.

If nothing else show yourself some love today...YOU DESERVE IT!

Many people wonder how hypnotherapy works. Hypnosis is a natural and relaxed state of focused attention that we all experience regularly, such as during moments between sleep and wakefulness, or when you’re "lost in thought" while driving. In these instances, you’re in a light hypnotic state, where your mind is more receptive to positive suggestions.

During hypnotherapy, we work with both your conscious and subconscious mind to support positive changes and help you achieve your goals. Hypnosis is a collaborative process—while it can help strengthen your resolve, it cannot make you do something you do not want to do. For example, if you are committed to becoming a nonsmoker, hypnotherapy may help reinforce that intention and support your journey. However, if you do not have the desire to quit, hypnosis will not work in the same way.

Hypnotherapy is not a "quick fix" or magic solution, but it can be a powerful tool to help you strengthen your mind and work towards your personal goals.

These are the 5 pillars of mental health.

💙 Mindfulness: Learn to live in the moment. How are you feeling right now? Pay attention to your thoughts, your feelings. What does your body need? Does it need rest?

💙 Exercise: It’s not only great for your physical health but also for your mental health. As you exercise hormones are released which will positively change your mood. It also helps to raise your self esteem and fell a level of accomplishment as you set goals and achieve them.

💙 Give to others: Giving creates positive feelings and a sense of reward, helps to give you a sense of purpose and connect with other people. Building friendships. It doesn’t have to be big things. Maybe volunteer for a couple of hours a week at a charity? Babysit for new parents? Give a smile or a listening ear?

💙 Learn: Learning something new helps to raise your self esteem, can help give you a sense of purpose and connect with others. It doesn’t have to be a doctorate or any formal qualification, maybe watch a youtube video on how to fix a blocked u-bend. Read about your favourite person from history or take a photography class.

💙 Connect Socially: Building good relationships will help with your sense of well being, it can help alleviate loneliness and improve your self worth, those friends can also be emotional support for when times get tough

Hypnotherapy is not a "magic wand" and cannot make you do anything against your will. It is a natural, relaxed state in which the mind is more receptive to positive suggestions.

Through hypnotherapy, we work with both the conscious and subconscious mind to help reinforce your commitment to achieving your goals. The process is collaborative, and you maintain full control at all times.

Hypnotherapy can support you with:

✅ Strengthening your resolve to quit smoking
✅ Supporting pain management (Note: This is not a replacement for medical treatment – always consult your GP first)
✅ Managing symptoms of anxiety and stress
✅ Supporting healthy eating habits (not eating disorders) to assist with weight management
