Recently we announced that for some conditions you could follow a link on our website to book a nurse appointment without completion of an e-consult form.
Trials have been very successful and we are about to take the next exciting step with Zymego.
We have been working very hard behind the scenes and very soon you may not need to complete an e-consult (for some conditions) to book a GP appointment either.
From March if you pop on our website and follow the Zymego links you will be guided appropriately.
You may have seen our Zymego leaflets recently while attending the practice.
Zymego is our new appointment booking system and we are thrilled to be working with Zymego to make it easier for patients to book, reschedule and cancel appointments.
For those appointments that still require further information once you have submitted an e-consult you will receive a link to your mobile phone. From there you will then be able to select the date, time, site and in certain circumstances the clinician of your choice to make your appointment.
You will receive reminders of your appointment and you will be able to manage your booking. Meaning, if you wish to cancel your appointment and reschedule you may be offered the option to do so depending on the type of appointment link you have been sent.
(Please note, some appointment types only become available from 8am every morning so in the event of rescheduling with a GP, it is worth keeping this in mind). There may also be restrictions set for patients safety.
You will also be invited to receive an earlier appointment if a cancellation is made and if you select this option, as soon as a suitable appointment becomes available, you will automatically be notified. If you try to book but the appointment has become unavailable you will receive a message or depending on your phone type...it may not allow the booking.
We anticipate that with patients using the booking system the volume of calls into the practice will start to reduce, enabling patients who are not comfortable with using technology to get through to our team quicker.
We ask if you have recently changed any of your contact details you inform the practice.
