Kinesiology can test to see how your homocysteine is doing, as part of a wider balance.
Pop me a message to book your balance 👌🏻✨

In addition to a cognitive function test, which can pick up subtle changes in cognition many decades before a dementia diagnosis, there is value in having a blood biomarker test that can do something similar.

The perfect blood biomarkers to test for are those that, the changing of which, leads to less risk and actual benefit in those with cognitive decline. This is called a dynamic biomarker.

A recently published study in China - https://bit.ly/4mGmNji - looked at whether a person’s homocysteine level predicted their risk and degree of cognitive decline. They did this by taking Alzheimer’s disease patients classified as mild, moderate or severe on a cognitive test (MMSE) and compared them to healthy people of the same age.

As severity of Alzheimer’s went up, so did homocysteine. Those classified as mild had an average level of 16.8mcmol/l, those classified as moderate had a level of 21 and those classified as severe had a level of 26.

The authors conclude “These results demonstrate that serum Homocysteine level is a promising biomarker for assessing Alzheimer’s disease severity, offering significant potential for predictive assessment and monitoring in clinical practice.

The researchers gave all Alzheimer’s disease patients a standardized B vitamin intervention regimen for six months.

At the end of six months there had been a significant decrease in homocysteine levels in all three severity groups and their cognitive function, as measured on the MMSE scale, had improved. Also, their level of homocysteine at the start of the study correlated with their degree of improvement.

The authors conclude “This finding further supports the potential utility of serum Homocysteine as a dynamic monitoring indicator for tracking disease progression and treatment response in Alzheimer’s.” So, homocysteine is both a predictive biomarker and a dynamic biomarker in that lowering it results in cognitive and clinical improvement.

I sincerely hope that the growing and consistent evidence for homocysteine as a biomarker, and lowering it with B vitamins as a treatment, will be adopted by health care providers around the world.

Meanwhile, it is up to individuals to both test their cognitive function at https://bit.ly/40bnRma and also homocysteine level through a home-test kit, then take an appropriately dosed B vitamin supplement, such as Connect - https://www.holfordnutrition.com/product/patrick-holford-connect-60-capsules/

I have been working with this lovely lady over the last 4 months, initially she came with hormonal issues but we always look at the body as a whole, so we balanced the digestive tract & worked on emotions as these were also involved.

The benefits of having more than one session are that we can
✨ work on deeper layers
✨ get to the root cause of symptoms
✨ find where the body is out of balance
✨uncover what your body is asking for emotionally, nutritionally, physically & electrically

This is the power of having more than one session, this lady had 1 a month for 4 months, so we can bring your body back to a baseline of balance.

There are a few spaces left in May, June bookings are now open 🙏

Check your chocolate for actual real food ingredients 🤦🏻‍♀️
I love chocolate, always have but I really don’t love all the cr*p they put in it now.
Legally it only needs to contain 20% cocoa solids otherwise it’s labelled chocolate flavour, which is what’s happened to some of our old favourites.

I’ve switched to a minimum of 50%+ cocoa solids just so I’m not eating so much palm oil (sometimes labelled as vegetable oils) and other inflammatory ingredients. It’s much nicer and you really notice how disgusting the other stuff is when you steal a bit of your kids Easter eggs! 😂😇

Have you noticed the changes?
What do you think to chocolate now?
🍫

While you were looking at "lab-grown" meat, the chocolate industry pulled off the ultimate heist. Major companies are quietly funding lab-grown cocoa for 2027, but the truth is, they stopped giving you real chocolate years ago. In 27 countries, Cadbury's "Dairy Milk" isn't legally chocolate. Why? Because the Cocoa Butter—the very soul of chocolate—has been stripped out.

How the Heist Works:
Cocoa butter is expensive. To save money, companies replace it with a blend of six industrial oils. But oil doesn't taste like chocolate, so they add PGPR (polyglycerol polyricinoleate) to keep it from separating and petroleum-derived vanilla to mask the waxy taste. They do this in tiny steps—changing the recipe by 1% every few months—so your tongue never realizes the "real" taste is being erased. In 2026, you aren't eating a treat; you’re eating a cleverly flavored chemical slab.

The Check: Look for "PGPR" on the label. If it’s there, it’s not chocolate.

The Survival: Real chocolate has five ingredients or fewer. If you see "vegetable fats," put it back.

As we enter hayfever season, here are 5 tips to help you manage seasonal allergies naturally:

🍯Source some local honey and take a spoonful a day in the couple of months leading up to and during your usual hay fever period

🌿Try drinking nettle tea - it’s one of nature’s natural antihistamines and can help to relieve symptoms like sneezing, itchy eyes and a runny nose

💫Boost your immune system with supplements such as magnesium, quercetin, turmeric, vitamins A, C, D & E, NAC and probiotics and/or the homeopathic remedy, A.Vogel Pollinosan…
..even better, instead of guessing what your body needs, go and see your local kinesiologist so they can muscle test you and find out EXACTLY which of these you'll benefit from!

🥛Reduce your intake of dairy to reduce mucous production which will make symptoms worse

🧄Up your intake of garlic - it’s best eaten raw and is a natural anti-inflammatory and antihistamine. If you can’t stomach that, try taking garlic tablets. Not only will it boost your immune system, it also acts as a natural decongestant and can help to relieve symptoms.

♥️Client Feedback♥️ having more than one session is powerful, we can work at a much deeper level - it’s like peeling the layers of an onion.

This was a 3rd session for this client, having cleared the initial layers the body needed to work on first, we could get to the real root cause and bring back a level of balance that you just can’t get to in one session.

We worked on the Vagus Nerve, a Spinal issue, a Cranial and Digestive correction, with lots of electrical work in there too.

Kinesiology is amazing, it never ceases to blow me away, it gives your body a voice, this is powerful, transformative work ♥️✨

✨Lots of inquisitive people giving their body a voice yesterday!
🙋🏻‍♀️ I always say I’m just the translator, & it was an honour to listen to what these ladies bodies needed to regain balance.

🪴Huge thanks to Jen for hosting an incredible day, bringing women together who had never met & connecting us ❤️

I had the BEST day (despite blending into the colour scheme of the shop!) ♥️✨

Burnout rates remain high across the UK workforce, particularly in women aged 35–54.

ONS labour market data continues to show stress as a leading cause of sickness absence in organisations.

But stress doesn’t just affect how we feel.
It affects how our body functions.

Ongoing stress can influence sleep, digestion, immune response and hormone balance.

Whole-person health means recognising that physical symptoms are often connected to emotional and environmental pressures.

Health is rarely one-dimensional, which makes Kinesiology a perfect solution.

Kinesiology works with the body as an integrated system, supporting the body to return to overall balance, rather than treating symptoms in isolation.
It looks at 4 main realms of health and addresses imbalances wherever they are found: Physical, Mental/emotional, Biochemical, and Energetic/electrical.

If 2026 is your year to address your health and well being as a whole, you can find your local KA qualified practitioner to support you on that journey here: https://kinesiologyassociation.org/find-a-practitioner/
