Bay Court Residential & Nursing Home – Christmas Newsletter

As the festive season arrives, Bay Court is full of warmth, music, and community spirit. Our residents continue to enjoy a fun programme of activities and wonderful opportunities to connect with friends, family, and our wider community.
Monthly Community Coffee Afternoon

Thank you to everyone who has joined our excellent community coffee afternoon on the first Monday of the month at 2:30pm over the last 6 months. It was lovely to see so many residents, relatives, and neighbours enjoying time together. On the first of December everyone dressed in festive Christmas jumpers and enjoyed mulled wine!
December Highlights

Throughout December we have a joyful mix of crafts, music, baking, and festive celebrations. Here is a condensed overview of what’s happening:

Crafts & Creativity: Christmas card-making, wreath-making, nail art, Christingle creating, and seasonal baking including mince pies and biscuits.

Music & Entertainment:

St Peters School and Budleigh Ladies community choirs

Harlequin Strummers

Cheryl and her golden harp

Claire and Annabel in two separate sing along piano events

Musica and Bincy for our big party

Seasonal Treats: Mulled wine, homemade mincemeat mince pies, eggnog, and warm festive bakes.

Spiritual & Reflective Moments: Christingle service, Baptist church Christmas service, and Christmas Day celebrations.

Fun & Games: Bingo, party games, quizzes, balloon games, and reflections on hopes and dreams for 2026.
