Great News for those of you due to come in for your treatments this month 🎉🖤

We have now seen an email stream between County Councillor Pugh and Powys County Council, where the County Council has confirmed that software changes to the car park machines will be implemented as of 5th January 2026, so that the pay and display machines can issue a free one-hour parking ticket by putting in a full registration number of the vehicle into the three identified machines below in Builth Wells long stay car parks:

POWYS - THE GROE CAR PARK (MACHINE 01B)

POWYS - THE GROE CAR PARK (MACHINE 02B)

POWYS - SMITHFIELD CAR PARK (MACHINE 03B)

This is due to continue until 9th February 2026.

We will be looking to see if this can be extended to the end of March, owing to the disruption that the third phase in West Street/Garth Road will cause.
