Christmas is the one time of year I miss living in England. I miss the cold dark afternoons which glow with Christmas lights. Carol singers in the malls at the Christmas markets and festivities.

Moving to WA in 2005 we lived up in the North West until 2022. Christmas felt even less like Christmas.

Now my kids are old enough to soak up the atmosphere we have spent the weekend in Perth CBD attending Santa’s Christmas village and walking the Rio Tinto Christmas lights trail.

Whilst nothing will ever compare to Christmas in the UK it’s been a fantastic day filling our buckets with family time, fun and Christmas joy.

Tonight the family went for a walk around Perth city following part of the Perth lights trail. The kids had a ball with the lights and street entertainers.

Miss 5 lasted until 8.30 and a good couple of kms before she was done

There’s something so peaceful about sitting on the rocks, listening to the sound of the ocean and watching the sunset

And im ignoring the “mum mum mum mum mum” yelling in the back ground…

Yep dads sat right there but they are yelling over him to ask me the question

When you work until 7pm and then still have to come home and make Rudolph biscuits for the kindy Xmas party and i still have to make sausage rolls for my other childs class party

End of school year, Christmas and navigating work challenges can be an overwhelming time of year…

How do I manage this time of year? A few minutes each night for some EFT tapping.

Henry elf got a very stern telling off by my 5 year old…. More than once today… luckily Santa sent some magic whilst we were out Xmas shopping and fixed it….
