This weekend we’ve been spending quality time together. By taking time to invest in relationships. By doing this we can build stronger emotional bonds, communication and a sense of security and belonging 🥰
Spending time together improves physical health and wellbeing. We’ve all enjoyed some delicious meals and quality time at our home feeling loved and cared for 🥰

This morning several residents attended Musical lifelines at Bungay community centre. We played and sang along to “Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket “. Caroline played along on her violin 🎻.
We then listened to a piece of music by Niccolo Paganini an Italian violinist…. Very moving piece of music 🎶.
Back home for lunch…. Friday fish and chips. This afternoon we had a relaxing afternoon chatting and watching tv over a cuppa ☕️.

Today we went for a coffee at Emmaus, we enjoyed walking around looking at all the bits and pieces and chatting to the guys that live and work there, they are always so friendly and helpful.
Then we went to the cafe and had coffee and cake, the young lady that served us was so warm and upbeat, we love supporting this charity in any little way we can. ☕️

Musical lifelines this morning at Bungay community centre. Caroline played her violin 🎻 along with a beautiful piece of classical music. We had to imagine a Swan gliding along the lake….
Some of the residents played along with the glockenspiel.
We also enjoyed tea/coffee and a slice of delicious coffee and walnut cake while chatting with the other members.
After lunch a few of the ladies arranged some beautiful flowers for the dining room tables and in the lounge.

This morning a couple of residents fancied popping into Bungay for a cooked breakfast at a cafe they both enjoy visiting. As always we’re made incredibly welcome😊. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast while we chatted about the town and how lucky we are to live here🥰. After we had eaten we browsed around some of the local shops before returning home for a Spa afternoon….
The residents could choose from the many relaxing treatments on offer while listening to relaxing music and scented candles 🕯️
Foot spa and massage
Face packs
Foot masks
Hand and arm massages
Neck and shoulder massages…..
Followed by refreshments 😋 .
What a fabulous Thursday 😍

We have played cards, connect four and snakes and ladders today, christine has just rediscovered her love of board games ♟️
Some others had some pampering, hand massage, nails painted and leg massage whilst chatting about life, Doris enjoyed listening to her favourite singer Elvis whilst Paris sang and danced with her 🎵 and
Joan chatted lots about all the different holiday destinations she had been to, so we found some pictures on the computer that triggered lots of lovely memories

Emotional memory lasts longer than factual memory. Even if someone can’t recall dates or places, they may still feel happiness, calm, or excitement
Looking at pictures 🏖️ ☀️ 🌊 ❄️sometimes the simple things in life are the best ❤️

This morning we did our armchair exercise and relaxation. By encouraging our residents to participate it benefits improved flexibility, strength, posture, balance and circulation. It can also help to reduce stress and anxiety and support in their mental wellbeing. It can promote better sleep too!
We especially enjoy doing the relaxation/meditation which helps with our breathing.
A few other residents have enjoyed looking at the reminiscence books and chatting about how they grew up and remembering different foods they used to have. and cleaning products their mothers used. A busy day for all concerned in the warmth of our home protected from the cold outside.

This cold and crispy Sunday morning we attended the Holy Trinity church in Bungay. The service was the Feast of the Epiphany. Both residents who attended the service took communion and private prayer 🙏. We enjoyed refreshments after the service and mixed with the other members wishing each other a happy and healthy 2026🥰

A day at home in the warm! Lots of 1-1 time. Some residents had their hair washed and styled, others chose to have their nails filed and painted 💅! We talked about the snow and reminisced about winters from when they were growing up. We’ve played some board games and enjoyed each other’s company 🥰

Today Darren’s niece Chantal came to visit him and they decided it would be nice to pop out for lunch. We decided Wetherspoons in Beccles. We enjoyed a lovely lunch and Chantal told us all about her Christmas and New Year. Troy was especially interested in a museum that she’d visited. Darren really looks forward to her visiting🥰.
Once home we played some games and stayed in the warm!
