Rainy but heartwarming day
☔️ 😃 ☕️ 🥣

Once a month , the heart of the village gather in one warm, bustling room where a team of lovely volunteers prepare and serve a simple soup lunch., the hall is filled with the comforting smell of simmering soups, and the sound of friendly chatter, today we had pumpkin soup, tomato and basil with lovely homemade rolls, wonderful desserts and coffee, one of our residents won three times on the raffle… thank you to all that make this so special and takes the time to make us so welcomed x

Busy day with in house activities
❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

We started the day with some gentle armchair exercises, everyone had a good stretch and got lots of enjoyment from this.

We then played lots of games and made some hot chocolate toppers to use when we have our hot chocolate station and Christmas movie afternoon. 🎄

Games and making things engage a wide range of cognitive, emotional, and physical skills. This combination supports better overall brain health, Increased social activity, Reduced stress and gives a greater sense of purpose and enjoyment which we encourage and push for every day 😃 😃😃 😃 😃 😃 😃

A wet, windy, damp and dull Friday 💦🍃
So we decided to put on one of our favourite films… Pyjama Game with Doris Day and have a pamper morning 🥰
We also continued talking about yesterday’s World Kindness Day and reflecting on our thoughts and feelings about kindness. We collaborated our thoughts 💭and wrote them down and shared our ideas 😍

At Bungay House this morning we had a lovely natter, cuppa and played name that tune 🎵 we were really surprised at how many we got correct 😍
Margaret had asked for ham , egg and chips for lunch so we decided to pop out for lunch and incorporate Troy’s appointment at specsavers to choose his new glasses 👓
Scott bumped into a few people he knew in Beccles which was lovely for him 💙

☕ Morning Coffee at a Cat Café in Norwich

Residents gathered in a cozy, welcoming café space shared with friendly, socialized cats. They enjoy freshly brewed coffee, milkshake, cider and delicious cakes while spending time petting or simply observing the cats as they play, nap, or interact with visitors. The environment was calm, comfortable, and uplifting with lots of cat toys to interact with them. It was our first visit and we will definitely be returning 🐈‍⬛

This morning Troy had an opticians appointment in Beccles. So a few of the residents tagged along 😍
They enjoyed a coffee at Wetherspoons while I supported Troy with his appointment. Afterwards we nipped into Morrisons to get some fresh vegetables for tomorrow’s roast dinner. Cheryl also chose some beautiful flowers to arrange for the dining room tables back home.
Manny fancied some fresh fish, so a trip to World of Fish in Lowestoft for Manny to buy a selection of his favourite fish to cook this evening for his dinner 😋

The food was absolutely delicious 😋 and such an amazing selection!
Darren’s niece Chantal joined us🥰
Doris was lucky and won on the raffle. She won some shortbread biscuits.
Bungay House were also given some amazing feedback from some of the local community. They said we’re so kind, loving, dedicated and go above and beyond for our residents. Both Elaine, myself and Paris explained that we feel incredibly proud to work at Bungay House supporting our amazing Bungay house family.

It’s a wee bit early but we got into the Christmas mood today watching the Neil sands Christmas memories show at the marina theatre.
It was chosen by Una and Darren on there last visit there, Malcolm and Doris came along to and we all had a great time.
The theatre was filled with lots of Christmas cheer and a lovely lady helped us get settled in our seats then treated Justeen and I to a coffee for all our hard work as care-staff, what a sweet gesture ❤️ ☕️
So many wonderful things to look forward to in the run up to Christmas 🎅 🎄
