What a wonderful week we've had! We've been soaking up the peaceful mornings with walks in the garden, admiring our flowers. 💐

​To get our bodies moving, we enjoyed a calm seated yoga session to stretch and focus on our breathing. 🧘‍♂️ We also had some friendly competition with a cycle machine race—it was a close one! 🚴‍♀️

​Our minds were put to the test with a challenging word game, and we got creative thinking of words with the tricky letter 'X'! ✍️

​For a bit of adventure, we travelled virtually to Edinburgh Zoo to see what the animals were up to. 🐅 We also had a fun request for a big game of Snakes & Ladders! 🎲 And of course, we had a blast celebrating Notting Hill Carnival with incredible carnival headdresses.

A huge shout-out to our residents for their amazing creations! ✨

Happy 103rd Birthday, Thelma!!


Residents, staff and visitors had the most amazing fun celebrating 103 years of our special lady.

What a fantastic week we all had here, at Chevington Lodge!

🎉 We started off by matching languages to their countries, which was a great way to get our brains working. 🧠 Then we got to celebrate Asian Heritage Month with some delicious homemade food brought in by one of our amazing staff members. 😋

​We also had lots of birthday celebrations this month so far, complete with beautiful cakes and rousing renditions of "Happy Birthday!" 🎂 We love celebrating our residents!

​We kept our bodies moving with some arm exercises, catching and popping bubbles with our hands and soft rackets! 🫧 For our minds, we played some of our favourite word games. ✍️

We wrapped up the week with a sweet treat: yummy s'mores that went down a treat! 🔥

A week full of joy and activity at Chevington Lodge!😊

We kicked things off with some little visitors who helped us pot and plant seeds in the garden. 🌱 We even spotted lots of wildlife! 🐦

We tested our speed and energy on the cycle machines to stay fit and active. 🚴‍♀️ Our brains got a workout with a fun word game, and we loved the visit from a resident's great-granddaughter who shared stickers with everyone! ✨

We even found some time to relax with jigsaw puzzles. 🧩

What a way to finish the week! 🎉

Our summer garden party was in full swing, even if it did turn into a rather soggy affair! 🌧️

We made a dash for the lounge and dried off with some absolutely yummy food and a super exciting raffle! 🤩

We thank all our wonderful relatives, friends and visitors for continual support and great donations!

A HUGE thank you to Station 366 for the fantastic entertainment that kept our spirits high, and to the Bungay Area Lions for lending us their gazebo – it came in handy, even if only for a little while! 😉

Despite the rain, it was a wonderful time filled with laughter and good company! We're already looking forward to the next one! 😊

We had such a fantastic start to the week! 🤩

Our residents got busy in the kitchen making some truly delicious Welsh cakes for tea 😋, and we all had a great time testing our knowledge on all things British! 🇬🇧

Exercise was disguised as fun this week! We enjoyed popping bubbles 🫧, turning it into a hilarious and active challenge, and some of us even tested our strength with therabands. So much laughter! 😂

A huge shout-out and Happy Birthday to one of our amazing residents! We celebrated with a yummy cake and lots of cheer. 🥳
The competition was fierce at our games' tournament! Residents battled it out with darts 🎯, hoopla, and bean bag toss, all vying for the highest scores. So much talent in one room!

What a week at Chevington Lodge!🤩

We absolutely loved having some wonderful students complete their work experience with us. Our residents adored seeing fresh faces and truly enjoyed the intergenerational interaction!

We had so much fun:

🎈 Playing balloon tennis – our residents showed off their amazing energy!
🎨 Getting crafty and painting rocks to decorate our garden.
🍊 Enjoying refreshing orange slices on a hot day.
🧺 Getting busy folding towels and planting flowers for our upcoming garden party.
🐶 Having a lovely doggy visit!
🎲 Challenging ourselves with Snakes & Ladders and our word game.
🍦 Finishing off the week with a fantastic outing to the beach for fresh air and ice cream! 🏖️

It was such a lovely week, and we hope our work experience students come back to visit us soon! ❤️👋

Our Week at Chevington Lodge! 🌸🍫⛪

What a fantastic week we've had here at Chevington Lodge!

We kicked things off by getting our hands dirty in the garden, planting beautiful flowers and potting some cheerful sunflowers.

Then, to celebrate Chocolate Day, we indulged in a delicious chocolate quiz, followed by an afternoon of tasting yummy chocolates in all sorts of flavours. It was a treat for our residents' taste buds!

Mid-week, we enjoyed a lovely outing to Emmanuel Church for a delightful coffee morning. It's always wonderful to connect with our community.

Back at the home, we cooled down with some refreshing chocolate orange ice cream milkshakes – they were a huge hit! And to keep our minds sharp, we enjoyed a fun word game.

It's been a week full of joy, delicious treats, and engaging activities!

What a fantastic week of fun we've had at Chevington Lodge! 🎉

From a sunny stroll to the Music Lifelines coffee morning 🎶 to some friendly competition in our darts & hoopla tournament (with some seriously high scores! 🎯), we've been busy!

We even got into the Wimbledon spirit with our own balloon tennis championship 🎈🎾 and challenged our brains with a French-themed word game. Bravo! 🇫🇷

So many smiles and great memories made! 😊
