I spoke to a vet this morning who said that although it's improved over the years thanks to awareness, there are a lot of animals of all varieties needing treatment for heatstroke.

PLEASE consider whether its the right decision to travel and compete your horses at the moment 🥵

Horse first, sport second 🐴 Would that win feel just as good if you were then having to ring your vet for help when you got home, because your horse is unwell? Or even worse, if you lost them?

The same goes for dogs, cats, bunnies, and all our animals. Please do what's best for them 🙏🏻

I'm back from our 2 weeks off and have started the week with some lovely horses this morning 🐴🐴🐴 I think I've caught up on my messages so please let me know if I need to get back to you.

📝 There's a slight change to my work week going forward as I'm doing an additional day in the Birmingham clinic.
✋🏻 This won't mean you're impacted much as I'm still not taking on new horse and dog clients (except in some circumstances), no mobile human patients, and new patients in Frolesworth are also very limited, which enables me to keep on top of my existing human, horse and dog patients, as you will always be my priority over new ones.

🏢 Without over complicating it, I have clinic availability for
FROLESWORTH all day TUES
BIRMINGHAM all day WED, THURS 9am - 1.30pm and SAT 8am - 1pm
🐴🐶👫🏼Horses, dogs, and mobile humans will be in and around those, with hopefully some time to ride my own horses, train my dogs and spend time with Martyn 🐴🐶🕺🏻

Thank you again for your kind comments and messages about Bandi, he was truly one in a million and has left a very large hole, but I'm grateful to have been his human for 19 years ❤️

📆 Reminder that I'm out of office for a couple of weeks from the 23rd June, having our summer break ☀️
I'm totally full for animals, and in both human clinics until then, if you have any emergencies please message me and I'll see what I can do, but I am essentially fully booked.

I'm still not really taking on new animal clients. Feel free to message me, especially if you've been recommended by one of my existing clients, but I can't guarantee I can take you on unfortunately as I want to make sure my wonderful existing clients aren't waiting an age when they need me.

☀️ Out of office ☀️

We are finished for the week and taking a short break to celebrate Martyn's birthday 🎈 unfortunately mostly looking after injured animals with this week having Bumble with a cut and fat leg, and Pixie having been in the vets today for a biopsy on a lump that's appeared 🤦🏼‍♀️

We are back on the 12th and will respond to messages as quickly as possible until then, just bear with us if there's a delay (feel free to chase up though!)

Our proper summer break will be from the 23rd June until 6th July, just bear that in mind for your appointments as spaces are getting full up until then, and the week we're back too. Enjoy the bank holiday! 🥂

Good afternoon everyone, hope you're all enjoying the sunshine ☀️

📝 Pleased to have added McTimoney Corley technique to my treatments after some CPD recently. As always I'm wanting to add to the toolbox even if there's only one horse, dog or human that would benefit, and it was so good to link up for learning with my uni and CPD buddy RKF Chiropractic and the pooches 🐶

📆 Just a reminder to book in well in advance where possible, especially if you need certain days and times. The wait for some appointments is up to 3 or 4 weeks bar a few odd spaces that may come up with anyone needing to move their appointment, and I don't want to leave people waiting when they're in need. As always I'll always try and fit you in but it makes my life easier if I'm not trying to cram it all in last minute.

🆕️ New patient appointment availability is still extremely limited and taken on a case by case basis, and bear in mind these may be leaving you waiting around 6 weeks + for a slot, unless we've previously had a discussion. Not sorry to say that my existing clients will always come above new ones 🙌🏻

It's been great seeing photos of you out and about and getting messages with your updates so keep them coming! 🐶🐴💃🏻🏃🤺🚴‍♀️

Some of you may have seen me mention this on my personal pages recently, but I know there's a few of you struggling with diet management at the moment, so thought I'd mention it here as well.

We've used Chestnut Horse Feeds for years (spot Bandi jumping the gold bin, and also feature as their Christmas card model recently 😍), and they did a diet checkover for Bumble as she wasn't feeling top dollar in February.

Chestnut work with a fabulous Nutritionist to do bespoke diet plans, and as a result we have moved her on to the Sensitive Performance feed, speedibeet, and added in The Horse Nutritionist special Gastri-kind salt, which is designed to not aggravate any digestive sensitivity that normal salt would. She was low on sodium, which can lead to dehydration and this is important for nerve and muscle function also - not just for summer use when they sweat more than normal!

I can confirm Bumble is back looking and feeling FABULOUS, and is sensible to ride while definitely having her usual sass back ✨️
