🖐️ The Hands of Time: Different Generations, Timeless Connection 🖐️
We are so proud to unveil our completed intergenerational wall display! This project has been a wonderful collaboration between our residents and St. Peter's school students, and the result is truly special.
To bring this "Hands of Time" clock to life, we asked both generations the same questions about life, memories, and dreams. Because some of our residents find it difficult to open their hands, we made sure the project was inclusive for everyone by using these vibrant, pre-cut handprints so that every resident could participate comfortably.
What we discovered:
Childhood Dreams: One hand might say they wanted to be a "Farmer," while another says "Footballer."
Magical Inventions: Answers ranged from the "Hearing Aid" to the "Television."
Favorite Sounds: From "Birds" singing to "Other people laughing."
It has been a beautiful way to bridge the gap between the ages, sparking heartwarming conversations and a lot of smiles. The display is a colourful reminder that while times change, our need for connection is timeless.
A huge thank you to the students for their help. Please do stop by and have a read of these wonderful "hands" next time you visit! 🎨🕰️
