What’s the Difference? 🔥

I see this a lot in the clinic — people come in saying they’ve got “sciatica,” but it’s not always the case 👇

💥 Back Pain:

Stays local to your lower back

Feels dull, stiff or achy

Often linked to muscle tension, posture, or joint restriction

⚡ Sciatic Pain:

Travels from the lower back or glutes down the leg (sometimes all the way to the foot!)

Feels sharp, burning or electric

Caused by irritation or compression of the sciatic nerve

🧠 In short:
➡️ All sciatic pain involves the back, but not all back pain involves the sciatic nerve!

A big thank you to my lovely client yesterday for allowing me to trial my new massage tools.

These will now be incorporated into my treatments to complement hands-on massage and provide even greater benefits.
