That’s a wrap 2025! 🎉 Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas 🎅🏼🎄!
It’s been an eye opening 👁️ year for me completing my first full year of parenthood 👩🏻‍🎓, finding myself again 🧘🏻‍♀️ and opening “shop” at ELM after maternity leave 💚💚. There’s been some bumps along the way with clumsy injuries ☝️🤕 (now fully recovered 🙏🏼😅) & battling illnesses 🤧.
I’m going into 2026 more resilient, striving for consistent working 💆🏻‍♀️ , more time for self care 🧖‍♀️, health and relationships with my nearest & dearest ❤️. Putting less pressure on myself to have everything “perfect” and slowing down my pace of life 😌.
Here’s to a happy, healthy 2026! Wishing you a very happy new year 🥳! I’ll be back working from Monday 5th January - look forward to seeing and treating you all 💆🏻‍♀️🌿🤗 x

Hi everyone! 🙋🏻‍♀️😃 been a bit absent on socials so just thought I’d update you all and see how you’re doing 🫶🏼😌. I’ve been back at work again for 9 weeks now 💆🏻‍♀️😍. I was completely signed off from the hospital almost 6 weeks ago 🥳 and I’ve been working normal full days since then 👏.
Thankfully my finger has made an amazing recovery! ❤️‍🩹🙏🏻 I don’t even think about it now! And my clients haven’t noticed my abilities are any different 😆🙌. What a blessing to be given a second chance 😇.
I’ve been spending time doing some courses 📚 (more to come on this!) and just navigating the balance of life with my many hats of business owner / mum / housewife / wife / runner 😅.
My working days are Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays - slots normally start from 10.30am and I work into the evening and I do have availability in general so do always ask and I can do my best to cater to your preferences 😇.

💆🏻‍♀️🌿I’m back! Diary is open! 🙌🏼📗
Let’s start again!😅 excited to be returning to work today so my diary is open for bookings! 🥳 📖 All the people I had to cancel whilst I have been off recovering from my operation the last 2 months I contacted a first a few days ago to give them first dibs on slots.
Ive been given the green light by my NHS hand therapist 🚦 to return to work on reduced duties for at least a month to ease myself back in sensibly. Due to this I’m beginning with just doing half days. This means I have less availability for now and with other bookings in the diary I currently have slots at this moment from 11th September onwards.
My working days are Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays so do reach out if you’d like to book in! I also have a cancellation list I can pop you if anything comes up sooner so let me know if you’d like to be added to this also 👍🏼.
No more hold ups please universe! 🙏🏻🌍🫶🏻 Maternity leave 🤰🏻, flu 🤧 then emergency operations 👩🏻‍⚕️ - I’d like a clear run and to work now! 😆 can’t wait to see you all !!

🎂🎈 Happy 13th Birthday ELM ! 🎈🎂
Wow where has the time gone! Thank you as always to everyone for your continued support to myself and my small business 😌🙏🏻🫶🏻💚 💆🏻‍♀️.
It’s been a quiet year for work as I’ve only worked 5 weeks of the last 12 months due to maternity leave and recovering from an operation ! 🤰🏻👶🏻🤕 . It’s been a life changing year for personal growth however outside of work - renovating our home and raising our lovely little girl 🥹💕. Hoping the next 12 months it will be a good balance of everything ⚖️ 😌🧘🏻‍♀️ 💆🏻‍♀️💚🤱🏻.
Still waiting news on my return to work with my healing finger ❤️‍🩹☝🏼so I will keep you all posted very very soon.

Finger Update ☝🏼: Toasting a glass to progress and getting my splint off in the daytimes! 🙌🏼 But I’m still not out of the woods fully yet I’m afraid 🫣.
I was given the green light🚦💚 last Thursday to no longer wear my splint in the daytime 🙌🏼 (just a night now 🌙 🛌 ).
I’ve not been signed off by hospital 🏥 for another week or two as I need this time to get used to using my finger with “light activity” all the time again and without it swelling as a result. Movement and sensations have been improving greatly over the time which is good 😀. Last hurdle now I’m hoping 🙏🏻.
So yeah! Hopefully a couple of weeks left being off 🤞🏼 (I have another hospital appointment end of next week) then I’m probably going to ease in with half days for a month (or until I feel I’m ready to step up) 💆🏻‍♀️.
It’s been 7 weeks since my operation now. It will be 8 when I see my NHS hand therapist again next week. The original treatment plan states you should be able to resume “normal activity” from 12 weeks post op (which is why I said about easing in).
I underestimated how long a “cut finger” would take - it shocks me now how something many of us do in the kitchen cutting vegetables turned out to be much more serious. But we are moving forward and trusting the process 😌🫶🏻.
I’ve got a list of people I had to cancel and enquiries which I’ll rebook in the order I was meant to see them (depending on their availability of course). So these people will be contacted first before the masses.
So here’s hoping I bring good news next time! And I’ll be in touch with updates in a couple of weeks. Thank you for your patience everyone 🙏🏻 and hope you’re well 🙌🏼 xx

📮💌🎈 August Birthdays - your cards are on their way to you! 🎈💌📮
For many years I’ve always sent my clients Christmas and Birthday cards with discount vouchers on. Due to being on maternity leave before (which started in August last year - where has the time gone!😱🕰️) I sent my last batch out in July 2024.
I started back working in May this year (for 5 weeks then been off again with my injured finger 🤕☝🏼🤦🏻‍♀️) but promised all I would resume my discount vouchers from August as to make it fair for everybody 🤗.
I normally send cards to “active” clients if I have seen you in the last 3 years. After that I will stop sending or of course if people would prefer not to receive mail that’s fine too 😊. Vouchers are valid for 3 months after your birthday 🥳 to bring along to your treatment and redeem (so keep your card in a safe place!)
If your address or contact details have changed since I last saw you do get in touch! So I can update them for you and you can receive your discount 🙏🏻.
If you’ve been following my recent posts I’m still not currently working due to my finger but I’ve got another appointment in a few days time so I’ll update you all in the next week xx

☝🏼 Finger News 📰
Hey everyone 👋🏼 I’ve been meaning to do another update on my finger situation. It’s over 4 weeks post operation now. I had my stitches removed 2 weeks ago and it’s healing wonderfully. Exercises are progressing using my finger moulds and although the progress is gradual I’m noticing small gains each day / week now 🙏🏻.
My hand therapist is pleased with how it’s recovering and seems optimistic. I’ve been working on getting my movement back in this finger and start a new set of exercises at the end of next week.
I still have to wear my splint all the time for at least another 2 weeks (ish) then I should (all being well) be able to resume “light” activities. I’ll need to get used to using my finger all the time and not wearing the splint all day though and still have improvements to be made with the rehabilitation (even though I’m tracking well for where I should be 😌).
I’ve most certainly not forgotten about you all and missing seeing you 💚. I’ve got a list of all the people I had to cancel during this period and those who have enquired so I will contact you all when the time comes I feel I can return to work. I’m hoping it won’t be long and we’re certainly talking weeks not months!
That’s where I’m at - no pain at all thankfully just eager to get back but sensibly 😌 💆🏻‍♀️ 🤕 🫶🏻

🤚🏼 Hand update! ✋🏼
One week on from my operation I had my first NHS hand therapy session today. The metal rod and sling have gone and been replaced with a custom moulded Velcro splint. It was the first time I was able to move my finger a bit since the op.
I have to have weekly hand therapy sessions for a few weeks and keep my Velcro splint on my finger 24 hours a day. I have 2 smaller splints to use for my exercises to isolate, move and strengthen the smaller finger joints to be done every 2 hours throughout the day.
I have the wound clinic in another weeks time where I’ll be able to hopefully see my full finger with no dressings on to see how the stitches are healing (and hoping have them removed depending on this).
Whilst I have dressings on still I’m not allowed to get my finger wet so I’ve had to get help from my family for the washing up, baby bath times and washing my hair! (Thanks guys!🫶🏻) Otherwise I’m managing tasks as well as I can and not in pain 😌.
I’ll keep you all posted on my journey and when I have more clarity about when I can return to work. All the time I have to wear a splint 24/7 it’s rather restricting and wouldn’t be possible for me to perform treatments sadly.

Not a post I wanted to make!🤕🤦🏻‍♀️ but i’ll be out of action for a few weeks at least as unfortunately I had an kitchen knife accident whilst cooking on Wednesday 🔪.
What I thought was just a deep bleeding cut - I put off A&E for day then within being seen in 15mins, having multiple jabs 💉,X-Ray 🩻, antibiotic cannula 💉 I was told I was having an operation the next day (Friday) as I had partially cut my extensor tendon in my left index finger.
I’ve contacted people booked in for the next month and will be getting my stitches out and temporary splint removed in the next 2 weeks then I’ll see how it is then as to when I return which hopefully shouldn’t be too long 😌.
Not the smoothest start returning to work eh! But the last 4 weeks has been blissful and I’ve loved treating you all again 😍💆🏻‍♀️ and I’ll be back real soon!!
Thankfully I’ve not been in pain and I can move it but I will of course be sensible with my recovery ❤️‍🩹. What a numpty I am! No more delays please after this - be kind to me universe 🙏🏻 🧘🏻‍♀️ 🌎 💖
