Towans Residential Care Home The Towans is a family owned Residential Care Home for the Elderly in Burnham on Sea, Somerset. Located on the coast, many of our rooms have lovely sea views.

We aim to provide the very best Residential care possible, in a comfortable safe and homely environment. Please look around our website and if you would like to know more, please ring our manager or deputy manager on 01278 782642 for more information. Our managers are usually available during normal office hours and will be happy to discuss your needs with you. We understand that if you have not seen a Residential Home before and you find you need to look for one, it can be quite a daunting task. They will help you with any questions about The Towans or Elderly Care in general so you can look for a home for yourself or a loved one who can no longer cope at home or wants the security and company that a Residential Care Home can give, with a bit more confidence. They will also be very happy to explain our service at The Towans and help with any questions you may have without obligation.

This week, our Heart of the Home Award shines ever so brightly on our truly incredible Weekend Care Team 🌟

From the moment they stepped onto the floor, their energy was absolutely infectious — full of warmth, laughter, and that special sparkle that turns an ordinary shift into something magical ✨

Their teamwork was nothing short of inspiring, supporting one another with kindness, encouragement, and genuine compassion every step of the way 🤝💞

Because of their dedication, our home was filled with joy, smiles, and beautiful moments that our residents will cherish 💕 From shared laughter to heartfelt conversations, they created an atmosphere that was not just caring, but truly bubbly, uplifting, and full of life 🌈

It’s this kind of spirit that reminds us what “home” really means — a place where people feel valued, happy, and surrounded by positivity 💫

To our amazing weekend team: thank you for going above and beyond, for lifting each other up, and for bringing so much happiness into the lives of those around you. You are the heartbeat of our home

Today was full of excitement, laughter, and a few brave moments as our residents enjoyed a fantastic visit from Puxton Park! 🐾

We were joined by a wonderful variety of animals, including a cockroach, snake, guinea pig, and lizard. There were plenty of smiles (and a few squeals!) as everyone had the chance to get up close and even hold these fascinating creatures.

We are so proud of how brave our residents were—many of them didn’t hesitate to get involved and try something new! Meanwhile, it’s fair to say that some of our staff were a little more squeamish and kept a safe distance from certain visitors… which only added to the fun and laughter of the day! 😄

A huge thank you to Puxton Park for bringing such a unique and memorable experience to us. It’s safe to say this is a day we’ll be talking about for a long time! 🐍🐹

Such a fun day for ST Patrick’s day, only one of our residents said the Guinness was lovely the rest not too keen as you can probably tell by some of the faces. We had a visit from a leprechaun who brought smiles to everyone’s faces.

This weekend we experienced higher than usual staff absences, but once again our incredible team showed exactly what makes this home so special.

Colleagues stepped up, stepped in, and supported one another to make sure our residents continued to receive the care, kindness and attention they deserve. Your teamwork, flexibility and dedication truly made a difference, and our residents benefitted from the familiar faces and positive energy around them.

As a small thank you, we’ve chosen a few personal treats for those who were on shift this weekend – from flowers to favourite chocolates and fizzy drinks – just a little way of showing how much we appreciate you. 🌸🍫🥤

We’re very lucky to have such a caring and committed team. Thank you for always putting our residents first. 💛
