🍀Yesterday we had a wonderful time decorating the home for St Patrick’s Day.🍀

🔔✨ Yesterday morning at KCH we gave hand bell ringing a go. 🔔✨

It turned out to be a very popular activity! There was lots of concentration as everyone worked together to ring their bells at the right time, and we had some great fun trying to guess which songs were being played.

There was plenty of laughs along the way ( some of us were crying with laughter!) and it was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and enjoying themselves.

We don’t think we’re quite ready to start our own choir just yet 🤭😂 but as they say “practice makes perfect” 😜

We’ll definitely be adding this activity more regularly!

We’ve been absolutely loving our exercise sessions with Becky every Tuesday and Thursday here at KCH! 💪✨

Over the past 9 weeks we’ve already noticed such a difference in our stamina, balance and coordination - it’s amazing what abit of movement and determination can do. These sessions are helping us become more mobile, build strength and stay as independent as possible, which is so important for our health and well-being.

It’s been lovely to see everyone’s hard work paying off. Week by week we’re getting stronger, steadier and more confident.

Someone once said “ exercise is a celebration of what your body can do” …… although sometimes our legs say otherwise the next morning 🦵😂

Well done everyone for giving it your all - keep up the fantastic work! 👏🧡

We were thrilled to welcome Graham back to KCH yesterday afternoon! 🎸

He brought along his trusty guitar and treated us to a wonderful afternoon of music. Our residents loved singing along to all their favourite songs, filling the home with smiles, and plenty of great memories.

It was truly an afternoon well spent, and were already looking forward to the next visit! 🎶😊

💅🏻✨Pamper Afternoon at KCH✨💅🏻

We had a lovely afternoon here at KCH, residents enjoyed relaxing manicures, soothing hand massages, a glass of Prosecco, and some delicious chocolates.

It was such a wonderful way to sit back, unwind, and spend time together in a calm and cheerful atomsphere. Smiles all around and lots of laughter made it a truly special afternoon. 💖

Sometimes it’s the little moments of relaxation that mean the most. What a lovely afternoon it was! 🍾🥂🍫

This week at KCH we put our arts and crafts skills to good use, as we got creative with some St Patrick’s Day themed crafts.🍀🎨

There was plenty of concentration, laughter, and creativity as everyone worked on their designs.
The afternoon was made even better with a lovely cup of tea and a good catch up - because crafting is always more fun with a bit of gossip and great company! ☕️💬

A wonderful time was had by all, and we can’t wait to display our festive creations around the home ready for St Patrick’s Day! 💚

This accreditation adds to our commitment to our ongoing improvement for both our residents and the community. Our dedicated Veteran-Friendly Framework Champions are at the heart of this initiative, bringing real passion and commitment to ensuring those who have served receive the understanding and respect they deserve, also reflected in their care plan. This initiative helps the Veterans to overcome the feeling of loneliness as we take sincere efforts in connecting with the local Veteran Clubs and similar groups. It also ensures that the Veteran families are not discriminated against any job opportunities, due to their special circumstances.

☕️🧠A Lovely Morning at KCH!🍪✨

We’ve had such a wonderful morning here at KCH, enjoying a fun quiz and some quick brain-teasing games, all with a cuppa and a few biscuits of course!

There was plenty of laughter, friendly competition, and great teamwork as everyone put their thinking caps on.
It’s always amazing to see how much knowledge and quick thinking our residents have!

Quizzes and brain games aren’t just fun - they’re fantastic for supporting both social and intellectual wellbeing. They help keep the mind active, encourage memory recall, spark conversation, and strength connections between residents. Most importantly, they bring everyone together for shared enjoyment.

A perfect way to spend the morning - good company, good conversation, and a good brew! 💖

❤️Love is in the air at KCH!❤️

Today we’ve been busy decorating our dining room, getting everything ready for valentines day tomorrow. From beautiful decorations, balloons and little thoughtful touches which the residents have made, it’s looking truly special. 🌹✨

Valentines day is all about love, kindness and showing appreciation to the people who mean the most to us. While it’s often seen as a day for couples, we believe it’s also a wonderful opportunity to celebrate friendship, companionship and the caring community we share here at KCH.

Our residents bring so much warmth, laughter and joy into our home every single day, and we think it’s only fair that we show them just how much love and apperception we have for them. 💖💕

💖Spreading the love and joy at KCH this afternoon! 💖

We got into the valentines spirit and had a wonderful time decorating gingerbread biscuits together. 🍪✨

There’s nothing like the feeling of love and creativity in the air, and nothing says it better than a homemade, heart shaped biscuit paired with a cup of tea.☕️💕

It was the perfect way to celebrate the season of love, and we felt it all around us as we shared smiles and memories. 💕

Today we were delighted to welcome Rebecca to our home again this afternoon.

She entertained us with a fantastic selection of songs, along with some beautiful romantic songs, getting us all in the Valentine’s Day spirit, as it’s fast approaching! 🎤

There was lots of singing along, a few dances, and plenty of smiles all around. 🎼🎵💃
