This afternoon at KCH, we enjoyed a competitive few rounds of Darts! 🎯

There was plenty of bullseyes, lots of cheering, and even more giggles along the way. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and enjoying some friendly competition together.

Activities like this are so important to us, as they help residents stay active, engaged and socially connected. It also helps to create opportunities to make new friendships and meaningful memories.

A lovely afternoon filled with laughter, and a few impressive throws! 😊💛

Today at KCH, we came together to celebrate VE Day with our very own victory party🇬🇧✨

Our lounge was filled with patriotic decorations, homemade cake, plenty of tea and coffee, and the wonderful sounds of wartime classics from artists such as Vera Lynn playing in the background.
Residents enjoyed a lovely singalong together and even put their knowledge to the test with a special VE Day quiz!

VE Day is an important moment for us all to remember and reflect upon. It marks the end of World War 2 in Europe and gives us the opportunity to honour the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those who served, fought, and gave us so much for the freedoms we enjoy today.

Celebrating together helps keep these stories and memories alive for future generations, while giving our residents the chance to share their experiences, reminisce and feel connected to such an important part of history. ❤️

✨ This afternoon at KCH, we were delighted to welcome the wonderful Allsorts Choir back again! ✨

The air was filled with beautiful music as our residents joined in, singing along to familiar songs and sharing in the joy of the moment. Music has a special way of touching our hearts - it can lift our spirits, bring a sense of calm, and support our overall wellbeing. 🎵🎶

Thank you to the choir for bringing so much happiness and harmony to our home today! 💛🎹🎤

✨🇬🇧 Yesterday at KCH, we had a truly special morning celebrating a milestone we’re incredibly proud of - achieving our Veteran Friendly status! 🇬🇧✨

We marked the occasion by hosting our own military coffee and cake morning, where we were joined by the local mayor and Lyndsay ( armed forces link worker from ARK). Both of whose support helped make the occasion even more meaningful and truly sealed this special achievement for us.

We enjoyed cups of tea and coffee alongside delicious homemade cakes. The room was filled with the sounds of the 1940s music, bringing back wonderful memories and creating a warm, nostalgic atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. 🍰☕️

Residents, staff and guests shared plenty of smiles, stories, and laughter through out the morning. We also held a mini raffle which added to the fun of the celebration!

Future coffee and cake mornings are being organised, and looking into the future we are aiming to organise days to other military events.

We also wanted to say a huge heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday and helped make the day so memorable!

Here’s to plenty more coffee and cake mornings to come! 💙

Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming clothes 4 you to KCH!👗🛍

It truly felt an indoor market brought right to our doorstep! Our residents enjoyed browsing the wide selection, and there were plenty of lovely purchases made throughout the afternoon.

A big thank you to Clothes 4 You for such a wonderful visit - were already looking forward to the next one! 💛✨

We had a wonderful time at KCH this weekend enjoying a firm favourite - bingo! 🎉

There was plenty of laughter, a bit of friendly competition, and lots of happy faces all around. Bingo is always a hit here, not just for the fun of the game, but because it brings everyone together. It’s a lovely social activity that encourages conversation, connection, and shared moments.

We’re already looking forward to the next round! 💛

✨This afternoon at KCH, we were delighted to welcome the wonderful Serendipity Choir back to our home.✨

It was a truly lovely afternoon, filled with familiar songs that everyone could sing along to. The room was full of smiles, and the joy that music so easily brings. Seeing our residents engaged, singing, and enjoying the moment together made it a very special visit. 🎶🎵

Music and live entertainment play such an important role in enriching the lives of our residents. They can spark cherished memories, encourage social connections, and uplift mood and wellbeing. Moments like these help create a warm, vibrant environment where everyone feels included and inspired.

Yesterday morning at KCH, we enjoyed another fantastic exercise session 💪

These weekly sessions are becoming more and more popular, and it’s wonderful to see so many residents getting involved and taking part. We like to keep things fun by incorporating games into our routines - ring toss has been a big hit!

It’s been amazing to see the benefits of regular exercise, with many of us feeling stronger and noticing improvements in balance and movement each week.

We’re already looking forward to the next session! 😊
