We’re really excited to be part of the International Day of Older People event on Wednesday 1 October at Turf Moor — and we’ll be running a free taster of our Experiencing Dementia course.

If you’ve ever wanted to better understand what it might feel like to live with dementia — whether you work in care, support someone personally, or you’re just curious — this is a great place to start.

The event’s taking place at the Rapidz Fanzone at Turf Moor, and we’re proud to be alongside local partners like Burnley FC in the Community and Oaklands Nursing Home.

🌟🌟We are extremely proud to be working in collaboration with Burnley Football Club in the community to celebrate the international day of the older person. Come and join us in the Rapidz Fan Zone for numerous fun activities throughout the day.🌟🌟

Ethical Workforce Solutions will be sharing their Virtual Reality Immersive Dementia Course with care givers, to offer an insight into living with Dementia and The Carefit Team who visit us every Wednesday at Oaklands, will be on hand with a mass seated exercise session

💜BUSY SUNDAY💜
This morning some of our gents had a full english breakfast at Kiddy Kids.

Sunday service at St James was attended by those who wanted, followed by a walk around the church grounds.

Then this afternoon a few of us ventured down to The Burnley Canal Festival.

This afternoon we joined The Participation Works NW and their Change Makers on International Youth Day, for icecream and games in the sun at Queen Street playing fields.

For those who preferred to stay at Oaklands, we had Dj Dimples entertain us.
