Alcohol & Substance Recovery Programme

Alcohol &Substance Recovery Programme

The Behavioural Awareness & Recovery Programme is a structured six-week psychosocial group intervention designed to support individuals affected by substance misuse in developing insight, accountability, and practical coping strategies. Grounded in evidence-based practice, the programme integrates reflective discussion with structured skills development within a safe, supportive, and professionally facilitated group environment.

Participants are guided to explore behavioural patterns associated with substance use, strengthen emotional regulation skills, and examine the broader impact of their actions on their health, relationships, and community. The programme also emphasises rebuilding trust, enhancing personal responsibility, and identifying high-risk situations that may compromise recovery.

By the end of the intervention, participants will have developed increased self-awareness, strengthened coping mechanisms, and created a personalised relapse prevention and risk management plan to support sustained recovery and positive lifestyle change.

Every year, more than 727 000 lives are lost to su***de.
Behind each number is a story cut short.

We aimed for a 33% reduction in deaths by 2030, but progress is just 12%.

This is a crisis. We must act with urgency, compassion & investment in su***de prevention.

I’ve packed everything, sold what I own, and I’m leaving home to travel the world — not just for adventure, but to take care of my own mental health.
This journey is something I need to do for myself, but I also want it to mean something more. Along the way, I’m hoping to raise anything i can for Casual Minds Matter, a charity in burnley uk supporting mental health and helping others through their own challenges.
If you’re able to support, even in a small way, it would mean a lot — not just to me, but to the people who rely on the work they do.

Matt.

As previously mentioned, throughout 2026 our family will be raising money for Casual Minds Matter CIC, a cause that is incredibly close to our hearts.

💚We are doing this in memory of Stevie Brown.

Losing Stevie has had a huge impact on our family, and we want to honour his memory by helping others who may be going through similar struggles as he did. If raising awareness and funds can help even one person get the support they need, then it will mean so much to us.

We are really pleased to share that we have made our first donation of £520! This will help support around 90 people to attend group therapy sessions.
These sessions support people dealing with grief, anger, su***de prevention, PTSD, general wellbeing and recovery programmes, providing a safe space for people to talk, be heard and begin to heal.💚

🤝Supporting Casual Minds Matter as a family is our way of turning something so painful into something positive. Mental health affects so many people and families, and the support, understanding and community they provide can make a life-changing difference.

🫶But we’re not stopping here.
In May we will be hosting a Family Fun Day to continue raising money and awareness for this amazing organisation. It will be a chance for the community to come together, have fun, and support an important cause in Stevie’s memory.
We would really appreciate any support leading up to and on the day, including:
• Attending and supporting the event
• Ideas for fundraising activities
• Donations of prizes for raffles or a tombola
• Sharing the event with friends and family
Casual Minds Matter will also be attending the day to help spread awareness and speak about the incredible work they do supporting people and families facing mental health challenges.

🙏Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. Your kindness, support and generosity means so much to our family and will help us continue raising awareness and supporting others throughout the year in Stevie’s memory 💚

Special shoutout to Stevies Daughter Skye-Leigh Brown for really pushing this fundraising in memory of her dad you are simply amazing for a young adult 🫶
