Ian Chapman Takes on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Barefoot for Charity.
Dear Friends, Supporters, and Kind-Hearted Explorers,
We’re thrilled to announce an extraordinary fundraising challenge that combines grit, determination, and a whole lot of bare toes.
🌄 On Saturday 26th July, Ian Chapman will be tackling the iconic Yorkshire 3 Peaks—Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough—entirely barefoot. That’s over 24 miles of rugged terrain and steep ascents with nothing but sheer willpower (and a few plasters, probably).
Why is Ian doing this?
To raise vital funds for two incredible causes:
👶 East Lancashire Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which provides lifesaving care to our tiniest and most vulnerable fighters.
🧠 Casual Minds Matter, a local mental health charity dedicated to supporting emotional well-being and opening up conversations that truly matter.
Every step Ian takes—blistered, bruised, but brave—is a step toward better care, awareness, and support for those in need. This isn’t just a walk; it’s a testament to resilience, community, and compassion.
We’d love for you to be part of this journey. Whether you support by donating, sharing his story, or cheering Ian on from the foot of a peak (preferably with a flask of tea in hand), your kindness makes all the difference.

Let’s rally behind Ian and show that even bare feet can leave an enormous footprint where it counts.
With gratitude, all the team at Casual Minds Matter.
