📢CALLING ALL WOMEN📢

The ICB Lancashire and South Cumbria Women’s Health Programme is conducting a survey aimed at all women across the LSC footprint to understand and gather women’s views on support for women’s health issues, where women’s health hubs should be located, how they could be accessed, and any barriers.

The ICB would really like to capture thoughts from our female residents about Women’s Health Hubs located in the community and in relation to an online Women’s Health Hub.

The survey can be accessed here: https://forms.office.com/e/FnZCjqFfb0

Closing dates for responses is 5:00pm on Friday 28th February.

Winter can be a cold season due to the cold days and dark nights, but with a few simple steps you can help yourself stay safe and well.

One way of doing that is by getting vaccinated.

Some viruses such as flu can be dangerous and even life threatening, even more so in
winter when it is circulated more with people spending more time indoors.
Why have a vaccine?

best protection against the main flu strains if you do catch flu, symptoms are likely to be milder and shorter
Helps protect those around you at higher risk
Takes 10-14 days to be effective
Those elible for a flu vaccine are :
Those aged 65 and over
Those aged 6 months and over who are increase clinical risk for example they if they have
long term conditions
Pregnant women
Older adult care home residents
Frontline health and care workers
Also care home residents, unpaid carers, household contacts of people with a weakened
immune system and most children aged 2-17
