โค๏ธ Food optimising out & about ๐ซถ
I did my best to take Slimming World with me at the weekend.
The maps app enabled me to easily check out the menus of eateries in the area; deciding on a Japanese restaurant for date-night, sharing salmon maki, followed by a salmon poke bowl ๐ฃ
From the dining-out guides on the Slimming World app, I know that Wagamama serve a selection of healthy, balanced meals, (they have a lunchtime offer too). We shared edamame and chicken gyoza, and I went for grilled chicken ramen with a Coke Zero. Slurp! ๐
On a day trip to Cambridge, I found an independent eaterie called Bread & Meat where you choose your meat and then select your base of either a ciabatta, poutine, or a bowl. Shaun went for the poutine with beef brisket, and I had the honey soy chicken โbowlโ, which included roasted butternut squash, aubergine, baby courgette, baked potato wedges, rocket & homemade slaw ๐
We did do some actual cooking ๐คฃ The bolognese with sweet potato mash was very yummy indeed, and breakfast was probably the easiest entry on the food diary, with a classic bacon & egg bagel thin / Warbies protein pitta ๐ฅ๐ณ
My on-the-go meal selections were the John West tuna salad pot and the M&S Super Salmon Salad. I would highly recommend both of these on flavour and Slimming World friendliness.
Chilling in coffee shops with good company is high on my list of me-time activities. Do you think โcoffee and Quaversโ could catch on? ๐
