It's that time of year again where the hospital's are full, however, some people can't be discharged because they need care at home to support them with their daily needs.
Winncare would love to facilitate with more hospital discharges but we just can't do it without more staff.
Let's be honest with you, the hours aren't great, they're unsociable to include dark early mornings, evenings and weekends. The pay isn't the best ( you can thank the government for that but please don't get our boss started on that) and you'll need to have use of your own car whilst on duty but we will compensate you by paying for your travel time and your mileage and we won't even make you calculate what you have done each month- our system does that for you.
But what we can guarantee you is that you will finish your shift with the biggest job satisfaction that you have ever had and you'll make friends for life with some of your colleagues.
We will support you with any training needs you have and if you want to progress in your career, we can help with that too.
You don't work in care for the money or because it's easy, some days are hard, emotionally and physically but we are a team and we support each other.
