The Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment is to parade through Burnley in a Freedom of the Borough event tomorrow (Tuesday).

We have received an increasing number of calls from our patients regarding the Mounjaro weight loss injections after the recent media coverage. At present only a very small number (approximately 0.1%) of our patients are eligible and we will make contact with them when appropriate.
Please do not contact the surgery as our clinicians are unable to prescribe the injection for anyone who does not fit the strict criteria’s laid out.

On 28th April, 2025, All of the amazing staff of Yorkshire Street Medical Centre came together for a park run in Towneley Park!

✨️Really enthusiastic runners, walkers, dogs, everyone came together and made the morning truly memorable! 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️🐶🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

We did this to promote health and well being of our staff and patients alike! 💪👟

We want to welcome you to take part in the weekly parkrun at Towneley park as well! Its every Saturday at 9 am, it's free, it's for everyone! You can run, sprint, jog or walk!

On the 31st March we say goodbye to Dr Sibson. Following 29yrs of dedicated service he will retire and hang up his stethoscope. He will be really missed by all the staff and patients we wish him the very best.

Dear Patients,

All GP Practices in East Lancashire are closed Wednesday 5th March from 1pm-6.30pm for Protected Learning Time. This enables practices to provide dedicated training to their staff and to discuss and plan ways that will allow them to improve services, meet demand and support the wellbeing of staff.

If you have a booked appointment please still attend.

For all life-threatening medical emergencies please hang up the phone and call 999.

If you feel your request is urgent and cannot wait until the following day provisions have been made for urgent triage, please hang up the phone and call 111.

Friday Morning surgery began with a little excitement.
Lovely young boy found on Belvedere Road, dodging cars 🤦🏽‍♀️
Clearly a young, excited boy.
We got him to safety, thanks to Tammy and he’s now been taken to Oakmount Vets to see if he’s chipped ❤️

Please share widely to find the owner, he’s definitely in good condition and looked after 🐶
