Choosing words like “died by su***de” or “took their own life” might feel like a small change - but it can make a big difference.

For those bereaved by su***de, it removes stigma and makes it easier to have open conversations about grief.

It’s time to talk about su***de with care, and to choose words that help rather than harm.

Grief takes a lot of energy- physically, mentally and emotionally.

Make sure to take a break and recharge before you're running on empty.

"I keep going over every detail of their death. Is that normal?"

This is a question we get asked a lot, and the simple answer is: yes.

It’s normal to keep replaying the details of someone’s death in your head. Particularly where the death was sudden, unexpected or traumatic. This is the mind’s way of dealing with what happened.

However, sometimes after a traumatic experience people become very disturbed by mental images, which in a severe form can become Post-Traumatic-Stress Disorder (PTSD). This is when it might be time to ask for help.
